What's the predictions aside from the outcomes of the individual games?
1) More public protest
2) Less public protest
3) No obvious change

More protest in the form of folks doing something else with their Sunday than watching the NFL shows.

You left out the one that counts: Smaller audiences. Good luck making payroll next year. And the year after.

The media could end this tomorrow by not pointing there cameras at the spoiled brats who play games for a living. As ticket sales fall, and TV revenues decline, so will their paychecks and they can go back to the lawless ghettos from where they came.

These clowns are not paid to get in my face in my living room.

I suspect what will happen is largely predicated by teams, their performance, and their public stand. The Cowboys dont kneel. They have a strong fan base. They probably wont much be affected. Same with the Patriots. Teams where players are making this a focus AD the product sucks will probably see a decrease in fan activity. It will be just one more reason to stay home.

What probably WONT happen is we probably WONT see ANTIFA showing up to protest the games. I thought initially that would be the case but on further review, ANTIFA PROBABLY doesnt have the stones to **** with an NFL crowd.

Talk about a common enemy! LOL.

Trump supporters have tossed aside the dog whistles altogether, I see.

OMG, somebody disagrees with these stupid demonstrations - must be racism.

More idiots taking a knee and less people tuning in.

Why do you think I was referring to racism?

Still waiting for that Trump video where he says white supremacists are "very fine people". Why won't you produce it?

Did somebody refer to Trump's "very fine people" comment?

If I wanted to watch political and social commentary, I wouldn't tune in to football. Exactly what makes any professional football player think I'm interested in their political and social views? I don't check with my doctor on his political and social views before I let him treat me. I don't quiz the guy who mounts tires on my vehicle before I let him do the work to make certain his views are acceptable to me. What makes these players think this is any different?

The last thing I want to see before or during a pro football game is some player who is making millions protesting!
I am pretty much done with the NFL. If the league can not police the sport and keep it at football only then I
believe they will see people leave in droves.

If players want to protest something then they can do it as much as they want on their time not at a football game.
I think the NFL is going to see how badly they have handled this situation.

Everyone desperately needs a outlet from the politics of the day football used to do that but no more.

Why do you think anybody's interested in your political views? And yet at nearly 18,000 posts, I'd say you've shared yours a whole lot more than they've shared theirs.

You never produced it. I have asked you several times. Where is it? Perhaps you should just admit you made it up. ;)

When did somebody refer to that?

It could be because I'm posting on a political board. Maybe that's it. Now, if I were sky writing those views over an NFL stadium on game day, you might have a point.

You're using the available medium that will let you communicate your views, just as the football players are using the medium available to them. So again, what makes you think anybody is interested in your opinions?

Maybe President Trump should ban any military service/personnel from participating
in any functions at any NFL game. If the NFL wants to let our flag be disrespected
then they can with out the military being involved. Talk about backlash....
People would leave the NFL in droves...

The NFL is making a bad judgement with what they are allowing to happen.

No the question should be why would anyone be interested with the constant nonsense you post?
The thread is not about Humbolt!! I for one like reading his posts!

And I don't understand why, because the quality of his posts are consistently quite terrible. Yet you enjoy them, so to each their own. So if you can understand getting something out of his posts (though I can't imagine what that might be), you can possibly imagine that there are people who respect what the football players are doing. Many might not necessarily agree with their message, but they respect their methods and of course their first amendment right to protest.

More to the point, the football players aren't required to "shut up and do their jobs" any more than Humbolt is, even though we can all agree that it would be much better for the collective IQ of this board if he did.

More idiots taking a knee and less people tuning in.

In the last 15 years, the NFL has had over 215 DUIs, 100 drug charges, 96 players charged with beating their wife or girlfriend, 80 assaults, and a couple of murders, yet folks are drawing the line when a player takes a knee.

DP, or a site like it, is not available to football players? I don't post my views on a football field because football fields are made for playing football. And since you've asked twice now, you should understand that I don't care whether anybody at all is interested in my opinions. My personal sense of worth isn't tied to the opinions of others regarding what I post, or not.

You don't post your views on a football field because you would have to wait for the stadium to close at night before being permitted onto the field. And even then security guards tasked with protecting the stadium at night may catch you and hand you over to the police.

Good poll. I'm curious what will happen, especially with the ratings. The NFL has been pretty gutless on the issue, other than blacklisting Kaepernick, which they would deny. They're actually gutless hypocritical bastards because they don't want anything to do with Kaepernick and yet they won't admit to it while simultaneously claiming to support those players who are still protesting. I'm going to go out on a limb here but I'm going to take a wild guess that more Republicans/Conservatives/Trump supporters who watch football in person and on TV than do liberal supporters of this stuff. Could actually be a factor in the NFL's dismal ratings before Trump even said boo.
