We need criminal control.

Domestic violence case motives are different from mass shootings or crimes committed during another criminal act like shooting clerks while robbing a convenience store.

Wrong on both counts. A domestic abuser will often pick up the nearest object. Baseball bat, gun, or his (her) fist. Mass shooters are probably the best planners. Sometimes for months. Holdup committors do not generally plan on killing.

If we are to make headway into decreasing murder, we need to address the different motives. Not blame the tool in all cases.

Guns are used in domestic violence cases all the time. We often don't call them that....we just call it murder

Guns are never used in prison murders. Tell us how it's possible for murders to take place in prison, when there are no guns.
