Democrat Leaders: Now is the time to pay blacks billions in restitution for slavery

Blacks are stating that they are incapable of getting it together. The "Great Society" threw away trillions of dollars and here we are having to pay out trillions more.

One of the biggest factors driving poverty is sin. Sins like criminal behavior, laziness, anger, drunkenness, drug abuse, greed, violence, envy, theft and so forth have a way of hurting vast numbers of people, especially including the criminals and their families.

The democrat party doesn't recognize sin.

More opportunity than restitution

Black Lives rioters, looters and arsonists, and their democrat supporters, have presented a number of demands for whites and Americans in general. These demands are under threat of continued violence if not met, sort of like hundreds of gangs of thugs taking America hostage and demanding their 'ransoms' be met or else. One of the first and foremost of these is the issue of reparations. Blacks and democrats believe America owes blacks money for allowing slavery 150 years ago and before. That money will have to be paid to all blacks and will have to come out of the U.S. Treasury and will no doubt add tens of billions of dollars to the US deficit and debt.

But black lawmakers say that is what will be needed to bring the races together.

...

Yah. Reparations for slavery gets tossed around a lot recently. I don't think it's going to happen - the ideas I've seen floated are unworkable: who qualifies, what evidence is needed, & so on. If the we were going to run a program to even the playing field for the Black population of the US, I'd say to go out into the K-12 schools & ID all the Black students who would benefit from college but can't afford it on their own.

Mentor them, help them along, help match them with colleges that could qualify them for the careers they're interested in. Weed out any students who fail under pressure (or otherwise go off track), & go back to the pool for the next set. Then monitor graduates to see how they do. We could allow service in place of payment, like the National Defense Student Program used to do. If that program works, we can retool it for Hispanics, Native Peoples - almost anybody.

It would be a benefit for everyone - with the drop in foreign students coming into the US for STEM educations, we need to find & cultivate the academic talent we already have in-country.

As for Sara Carter - I've never heard of her. But that's neither here nor there, I don't spend a lot of time on the media (Podcasts?)

I often point out that the new fascist Democratic Party is following the EXACT agenda and goals of Hitler in Mein Kampf in the most literal sense. For the Democratic Party is to the USA what the Nazis were to Germany in 1934.

If they get their way, the Democratic Party will order everyone be genetically tested to determine who is pure white and who is not (the 1 drop impurity rule dating back to slavery). Everyone who is not pure white will be registered in the federal government's race registry as whichever non-white race they most are.

Clearly, the only way to really know who is "black" is by genetic testing, so that would be their justification.

snark on/

Great! When do we invade Poland, the Ukraine, & ultimately Russia?

snark off/

Im not saying blacks are stupid but the data does not support what your claiming either. Whatever the democrats are doing 85%-95% of black american voters support. How do you explain that?

DUH!!!!! They want the free stuff the DEMONRATS keep promising.

Racial quotas and affirmative action guidelines are racist. They favor one or a few races over the rest. How is that fair?
Oh please what do you want them to only let smart people in, how is that fair.... /sarcasm

In all seriousness i hate the word fair because of how subjective that word is. It is impossible for everyone to have the exact same experiences so there is always room to argue someone had an advantage or was disadvantaged.
I agree that racial qutos are bias and illegal. Racial discrimintion is crime that the courts are refusing to acknowledge. That being the case, if there is a college you want to attend I suggest everyone envoke the 1 drop rule. If we go back far enough in our ancestry we all came from africa.

thats just another way the democrats think they can stay in power, the 14.7 trillion dollars means that by paying blacks for slavery they hopefully, vote for democrats! if that's the best they can do is put a candidate who doesn't know who he is talking to, where he's at, what day it is, who his wife is, falls asleep in the middle of conversations, and thinks he can debate, if this is the best the demoncrats can do, lord help them, he has Willie Browns girlfriend, a want to be Indian, a socialist, and a communist to pick from as his VP. if the democrats want to look back at the Bush funeral they will see Biden, Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Dick Cheney, GW Bush, all got indictments from the Military Tribunals, that are on going! that's also the reason they want illegals in this country so they will vote demoncratic, vote no to kuru Joe !

The problem with reparations is that the crime that is being addressed occurred by people, and to people, of the past. You can't hold current society as culpable for the past deeds of their ancestors, it's not realistic. That's like punishing my children for a crime I committed. We can't redress all the past injustices because it would never end and isn't fair. We have to focus and work on current issues that are more pressing and relevant than dredging up historical wrongs, which are endless because we are a flawed species.

That's right. They have misinterpreted the Constitution and erected a wall of separatiuon between themselves and God.

Schools should train all students the same, whether rich or poor or black or some other shade or color.

What is fair are college admissions criteria based upon merit and achievement, not race, sex, religion or some other artificial standard.

Modern Americans, in another similar example, would be wrong to hold all blacks in the country responsible for the damage done by the uncivilized violent BLM mobs currenting destroying properties, lives and traditional values in open riots, lootings, burnings, assaults, and murders. Modern whites, especially republicans, should not be held financially responsible in some strange way for the harm old white demcorats did to blacks hundreds of years ago in America.

On the basics? Sure.

But @ some point, if students continue on to professions: doctor, lawyer, dentist - they need more specialized classes.

The same is true for careers: plumber, carpenter, mechanic, HVAC - they need specialized training & coursework too. & presumably, lots of hands-on work as well, as much as possible or practical.

What is being said is that blacks can't compete, can't achieve against most everyone else in the world. So we allow for excuses going back 400 years. It will always be the white man's fault. The race industry is there to deflect responsibility away from the person making bad decisions in life. Going to school, studying, staying off drugs, staying away from crime, avoiding gangs , not getting knocked up at 15 are all personal decisions. Now all the focus is to deflect blame to whitey, privilege, white privilege, racism , systemic racism, cops hunting blacks. etc. In the mean time the third world from every corner of the world comes here and runs circles around them.

World history is full of injustices, conquests and yes....slavery. Poverty, famines, wars, conquests for territory, genocides have been here since the beginning. Now as a much closer issue, is criminal violence theft, murder and vandalism.

Whites are automatically racist for their skin color according to some, which is ridiculous. Have Caucasians of European descent benefitted from conquering, land taking, slavery and brutal past deeds, certainly. But so has all of humanity since ancient history. That's what conquering empires and nations did back then. Are we going to give every race, creed, nation and culture reparations for all past wars and injustices? Shouldn't Germany and Russia pay far more than they already have for the more recent Holocaust? It would never end these kinds of backwards in time reckonings.

All we can, realistically, accomplish is a current society based on equal rights and opportunity, without so much corporate leverage affecting the impoverished chances at succeeding. It's not a race thing that has society imbalanced, it's an income disparity ordeal that's causing lack of proportionate prosperity.

So people who never owned slaves owe people who were never slaves money?

Yeah, my thinking exactly. Is this some of this wonderful 'liberal logic' that we've heard so much of?

Not seeing any logic or foundation in logic for slavery reparations.

As Trump is a former Democrat I assume he will lead by example and open his check book?

It could be the first check he has written which has not been in exchange for sex.

You can't blame a whole race on the current crime done by a very small percentage, and of mixed ethnicity. The rest I agree with.

I agree with you but what your arguing is also a bias. Less educated people can benefit from an ivy leauge education and before AA came to be only wealthy people were admitted not the smartest people. Theres always something a person can point to as being unfair. Where you do have a good point is that under the law it is a crime to discrimate based on a persons race. By definition you can not show 1 race preferential treatment without putting the other at a disadvantage. AA is based on that principle and should of been struck down by the courts but it was not its been upheld. People need to play the gsme and embrace their miniority ancestry

Democrats are terrified and desperate. The mobs have turned on local politicians - all democrats - in every major democrat stronghold in the country. Decades of broken campaign promises have finally been exposed as the lies they always were. And now they're promising more.

Democrats promised inner city blacks better schools, better services, better job training, better housing, better healthcare, better police protections, and have delivered nothing. Neither will they deliver on reparations.

Bill Clinton shipped off meaningful skilled labor and created the Rust Belt, along with all the supporting mom and pop businesses that made local economies thrive. Foreclosures and bankruptcies, boarded up neighborhoods, violent gangs, opioids, homeless spiraling upwards, mental health out of control with schizophrenics left to argue with themselves on the street.

It's disgusting what the cities have become. It's disgusting what Democrats have done to their own people; to their own cities. Then they have the audacity to play down these riots like it's peaceful democracy in action - bull****.

It's a train wreck on the Democrat railroad, owned and operated by the Democratic Party.

Black inner city Americans: You've been deceived, and no one owes you anything. Look around and see the success of black Americans all around you. They worked for it. We all work for it. You have to work for it too. The opportunity is yours for the taking.

Then by all means set your self up in black communities to register voters to the GOP. But you will need more than the above to persuade them to vote for Trump. Go on, those votes are there for the taking.

Bill Clinton, as another presidential example, has hundreds of millions at his disposal, even after subtracting all he has spent on trips to pedophile isle. But there is no evidence he has done anything to personally help lift the poor out of poverty, except maybe support democrat efforts to raise taxes so as to take working people's money to throw at the poor.
