[Live] 2020 Dem NV Primary Debate Live Thread!

Because every one in the country wants to see a Socialist destroy our capitalist society and give everything away for free.

Bernie's top opponent: ignorance.

Because every one in the country wants to see a Socialist destroy our capitalist society and give everything away for free.

Our capitalist society isn't currently working for an overwhelming majority of Americans.

Trump would much rather prefer running against Bernie than against Bloomberg.

Donald Trump would not be able to beat Bernie Sanders in an election.

I retract/cancel my prediction that Bloomberg will be the Democratic Party's nominee. Worst debate performance ever. With all the skeletons he has in his closet, he should have known he had no chance - not if he spent $50 billion. He clearly spent no time preparing either. Candidly, I think consultants and subordinates have so built him up to his own mind that they are milking him for every dollar they can get as each tries to stroke his ego more.
Even the motto: Mike Can Get It Done" is his consultants and subordinates working his ego. Bloomberg should give it up before he is humiliated even worse. That was pathetic.

Yes, and? We know that he won big.

Did you just find out?

It's rather clear you hate sanders probably more than you hate trump.

Another Bernie brown shirt lie. Bernie Bros are down with their online MAGAts threatening to kill Democratic State party leaders.

Moderates aren't able to win an electoral college victory either so I don't see where you are trying to go with this argument.

And no, unions aren't turning against Bernie Sanders. Sanders has an overwhelming majority of unions supporting his campaign over the rest of the Democrats.

Of course we can. Urban areas, which is where Sanders’ popular support is concentrated, will throw their votes to anyone who isn’t a Republican. Sanders isn’t bringing anything to the table that we don’t already have. Moderates bring the Midwest and rural Americans. As for the Unions, several now vocally oppose Sanders and the chorus is growing. Also, it might be a good idea for you folks to stop threatening to murder union leaders and their families if they don’t support him.

Yes, and? We know that he [Reagan] won big.

Just setting the record straight since you called him a "Cowboy *****".

Last time I checked, he wasn't in the film 'Broke Back Mountain'..

Classic Bernie Bro denial. Can’t wait to hear the sky-screams at the convention.

I'm not going to spend my time having an exchange with someone who is either operating in bad faith, or doesn't have a worldview grounded in reality.

Neither was 2016. Bernie started at 4% with Martin O'Malley, James Webb and Lincoln Chafee, little known by the country. Bernie rose to be remembered as the only other candidate because he did so historically well.

That debate was in October of 2015. We're 4 months later than that in the cycle and there are still 6 candidates on stage.

Do you know how many people were on the debate stage in the CNN debate this past October? 12.

Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julián Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O'Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Tom Steyer, Elizabeth Warren and Andrew Yang.

2016 Florida Primary: Hillary 1,101,414 (64.4%) <-> Bernie 568,839 (33.3%)

General- Trump 4,617,886 (49.02%) <-> 4,504,975 (47.82%)

In 2016, I voted for Bernie in the Florida primary.

I like Orlando-based Congresswoman Val Demings as a potential VEEP!

As if you can tell the difference...

Our of curiosity, I looked up Bloombergs net wealth increase over the last 10 years. He makes about $2 billion a year. That’s roughly $5MM per day, every day.

That means in the two hours he was on the debate stage, he made about $500k, which is the annual income one would need to get into the top 1%.

Wow.

In order to be as rich as Michael Bloomberg you would have needed to be born in 1AD and make $3,500 per hour from then until today.

Let the enormity of that sink in.

Sanders?

No, 160,000,000 people are not agreeable to losing their health insurance so they can go take a number after receiving an appointment for 17 days later, to be at the end of a very long line - including poor people from all over the world - for which they now have a 5 hour wait - only to be referred to a specialist and repeat that process - because all healthcare is that way - like it or not - to be fair to alcoholic bums and poor people from other countries by the tens of millions.

Sanders should have jumped him and stolen his wallet. That's only be fair. Sanders only has a couple million and only 3 homes.

There should be an inheritance tax and without trust or other loopholes. What is left after the inheritance tax could be put into trusts. Taxable trusts. However, the threshold should be very high and on a sliding scale upward - peaking at 50% for billionaires. If it is stock or other portion of ownership, the government would be required to auction it off to keep the company(ies) operating.

Ah, and there are the anti-gay remarks.

We knew you had it in you!

Sanders would have beaten Clinton had he believed in himself enough to try to win, but instead he was all " No I want to give this lecture on economics, that is all that I am going to set out to do".

It was Jan 2016 before he understood that he could take her, and by then it was too late.

This is the guy I am supposed to vote for..a Garden Variety Loser?

The bigger tools have been the Democratic party.

Why is that? Because they lose so many elections? You do know that is why Republican corrupt and reactionary policies have over run our govt. don't you? It is not just Trump, it started with Reagan and 24 of the last 40 years a Republican was in the Whitehouse. That is why we haven't fixed our problems, you are blaming the wrong party. Like I said, you are a tool of the fascist right who want to divide the great Democrat majority so they can rule in the minority. Do you like minority rule?

Yeah... Bernie is tied with Biden for the AA vote in the South now.

Bernie might compete in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina by selecting Val Demings or Stacy Abrams as a running mate.

LOL. You called Ronald Reagan a part of the female anatomy.

I think you are bit more "slightly liberal" than your tag suggests. You seem to have more selective outrage than a 22 year old white Antifa supporter from Seattle.

LOL

Sanders will likely die in office...might we have someone with a clue as VP?
