The Party Stupid Enough to Call You a Racist...

...is too stupid to govern.

The "insult them and shame them until they join us" strategy isn't going to work.

Many people don't like Trump, but they like being smeared as a bunch of racists even less. They dislike and are repelled by the unfair and false rhetoric coming from the extreme left, which appears to be in control of the Democratic Party agenda.

Stupid Democrats Will Lose By Calling Trump Supporters Racist

Some good points, but the Democrat Party is under the control of extreme right wing sociopaths, not the left.

I think the American people are wearying of "If you don't agree with me, you're a racist."

From your source (and referring to a Beto O'Rourke remark):

This is really, really stupid. Most Americans don't hate Trump as much as most liberal Democrats do. Most Americans see through the hysterical exaggerations about Trump and many appear bewildered by the vitriol. Even if they don't like Trump -- and there are many reasons not to -- the Democrats' rhetoric offends their sense of fair play. Thus, every time Democrats go off on Trump, accusing him of all sorts of perfidy and hateful things, Trump probably gets another 10,000 votes. We don't want the votes of the racists and Trump apologists still standing with Donald Trump. We want the GOP to keep those votes and the mentality that provided them. We see them are corrosive and dangerous to the country. The GOP sees them as saviors. We are all good.

I gather you haven't been paying attention to Trump's bullhorn the past few years. Or GOP's softer dog whistles: law and order, states rights, the America we love will become unrecognizable in a few years due to immigration, etc.

None of those things are racist is the least. The one with the race issues is clearly you.

Let me get this right... people are saying that it is the Democrats are mean because they are calling out people who support a racist anti-semtic sexist pig of a President and a party that defends pedophiles, racists and neo nazies?

At this point in time, anyone supporting Trump also supports all his beliefs and should rightfully be treated as such.

There are actually good Republicans who have stood up against this monster, why not support them?

Except that the Dems don't need the votes of the component of Trump supporters that are White Nationalists or White Supremacists or outright racists. Don't need them...don't want them.

But nice try.

Shortly after he is nominated, Ronald Reagan goes to Mississippi, ironicallynot far from where there civil rights workers were killed some years before, and gives a speech supporting "states rights" in front of a white crowd. What could have that meant? Naturally, his administration slow walks civil rights enforcement. Remember one of George H. W. Bush's campaign centerpieces of law and order, killer Willie Horton, complete with ominous looking photo. The Supreme Court says that the Voting Rights Act need not be enforced as it had been. So within a short period of time, the states covered by the act, the Deep South and Arizona, enact voter ID laws that do things like eliminate Sunday voting, a practice among some black communities, and drastically reduce polling places around Phoenix where Hispanics live. And we have Donald Trump, who circulates information that says that +/- 80% of white homicides are by blacks, based on info from a non-existent source. FBI numbers are something like 12%. And, of course, there are Mexican migrants as rapists, the lie that Muslims celebrated 9/11 in New Jersey, suggesting that Syrian refugees, the most vetted of immigrants, we're not vetted at all, "go back to where your came from," "****hole countries"...

... Move along, obviously nothing to see here.... Do I have to go on?

Why are right-wingers overwhelmingly desperate to protect racists from being named racist?

None of that is evidence of actual racism, it is evidence that democrats like to use race as an issue to keep blacks on the liberal plantation.

We arent. Dishonest leftists simply paint everyone and everything they disagree with as racist. Try an honest argument once in a while.

A simple "Nuh uh" would have been more clever and would have saved you time.

I think you might want to check into a clinic to get a logic transplant. How is Trump spreading lies about Muslim celebrations in Jersey or about lying about black on white crime not an example of racism? How does saying that get blacks off the mythical plantation? You don’t think much of black people’s intelligence. Trump is the one who insults the intelligence of his supporters, for example, with his Fifth Avenue comments. And he calls border crossers rapists but doesn’t say the same about visa overstayers from Europe.

Because Muslims are not a race. Do you really not know that. Do I literally have to spell everything out for you liberals? The rest of your post is just more stupidity. Go educate yourself on what racism is and stop spreading moronic liberal propaganda.

You accuse me of lying all the time the run away and hide when I confront you one your own dishonesty. I have no expectation that you are man enough to back up that lie of yours here either. Conme on tough guy, back up your bull****.

Because Muslims are not a race.

++ A distinction without a difference. Bigotry is bigotry. Muslims are generally browner, so in Trump's world, stretching back quite a while, they are suspect. But let's accept your point. Then answer, why did Trump lie about Muslims? My answer is that he has built his political career, from the Central Park Five, to birtherism, to a proposed Muslim ban, to lying about black crime, on racially tinged resentment. It's not as if he has anything in particular against Muslims, blacks, Mexicans, Jews, but that they provide him rhetorical tools which he assumes his base likes him to use for some reason or other. He is no different than George Wallace, who when he lost his first political contest in Alabama, said he had been "out-niggered" by his opponent. He made sure that didn't happen again. And Trump will not be "out-niggered." (Wallace apologized for his actions late in life. Don't hold your breath for Trump to ever apologize.)

Do you really not know that. Do I literally have to spell everything out for you liberals? The rest of your post is just more stupidity. Go educate yourself on what racism is and stop spreading moronic liberal propaganda.

No need to lie or propagandize about anything Trump does. It would be political malpractice. He provides all the evidence needed with his appeals to fear and racism. But again, as you suggest, spell it out to this liberal: in your view, why does Trump make up stuff about Muslims, migrants, blacks, et al.? I have a feeling you won't answer. Prove me wrong.

Trump makes up stuff about everybody. That is pointed out here on a daily basis by your fellow Trump haters. You simply focus on those times when he does it to people whose skin is dark because like a typical liberal, you are obsessed with race and skin color and, therefore, racialize everything. Skin color is all you see.

That’s your response? I can see you as Trump’s press officer: “Well, Mr. Reporter, Trump lies about everything, so it shouldn’t surprise you that he makes up stuff about religious or racial minorities. He is that rare breed, an all-purpose asshole who doesn’t discriminate. And, by the way, you are the bigot, for focusing only on his attacks on black and brown people. Don’t you care about the women or white males he’s insulted?” Faced with that logic, the reporter, humiliated, withdraws the question.

Nice endorsement of the president. Btw, the bigots in the south also lynched a large number of white people compared to what happened in the north. Doesn’t mean that lynchings in Mississippi weren’t racially motivated. People can be both lawless and racist.

Yes, that is my response and it completely destroys your argument. I am not here as Trumps press officer, nor to endorse him, even though I do. Trump strikes back at anyone who attacks him and yes, he does tend to make things up. Those are facts. When he focuses his fire on a minority, people like you immediately cry racism: Trump calls kneeling athletes sons of bitches and the left cries racism!! But thats not racist. Trump talks about rat infested Baltimore and the left screams racism!!! But it not racism. This happens over and over and over again. Why do you guys do this? Because without a continued monopoly on the black vote, you guys could never win national office again. So you have to keep lying and pretending that racism is everywhere when it is not. You have to keep the focus on discrimination by whites as the cause of the rat infested inner cites lest the people who live there discover that it is liberal policies that are responsible for their misery.

And Trump is neither. It is the left that treats people differently based upon skin color. Trump doesnt bow to the PC culture of the left that demands that people of color be free from criticism

Soooo all the stuff that involves race that Trump has said does not involve race. Got it. Get back when he attacks European illegals who are visa overstayers as rapists, or when he spreads accurate information about black on white crime instead of lies, or when he tells Paul Ryan to go back where he came from. I used to work investigating civil rights cases, and this was the main guiding principle: discrimination by race is shown through disparate treatment. Trump attacks brown people who disagree with him in a different way than he does someone like Ryan. Then there are his gratuitous attacks, like the one on Judge Curiel, featuring Trump's "I don't have a racist bone in my body" logic:
- Curiel is of Mexican descent, and
- Trump wants to build a wall on the Mexican border, therefore
- Judge Curiel can't be fair, therefore
- Curiel cannot decide the Trump University case

Word has is it that Aristotle rose from his grave upon hearing of this and said "Huh?" The aforementioned Ryan cut to the chase and called it textbook racism.
