Try seeing him live, and watch him "phoning it in".
I got asked about piano playing. Name a song of his that features virtuoso piano playing.
He's adequate, he can play a tune, he can sing, he has a competent band.
But sorry, he's not a gifted musician that can set the keys afire.

Leon Russell and Steve Winwood can.
And while Leon's singing voice is an acquired taste (he himself has joked that he thinks he sounds like a sick frog) his piano and songwriting abilities are world renowned.
And I happen to think Winwood has twice the vocal power of Billy Joel.
Billy Joel is a pop entertainer.

So called "pop music" doesn't have to contain earthshaking musical skill, it just has to be light and entertaining.

Having read more than your post criticizing Kathy for "knowing the guidelines and ignored them" I chose YOURs to reply to as the archetype of ignorance. The alleged twitter transgressions were when she attended the University of Central Florida, BEFORE she transferred to the University of Michigan and later competed as Ms. Michigan.

In other words, your moral admonishment that she should not have written something, while knowing the guidelines, is ludicrous. She was LIVING IN FLORIDA and not even eligible or interested in Ms. Michigan. Why should she "know the guidelines".

And it doesn't matter what you "think" her reasons are, because the choice is a personal matter involving a lot more than odds. Anyone contemplating a suit also has to consider how it consumes their lives, sometimes for years, high legal costs, and the amount of net compensation likely to be obtained. Moreover, if her agreement has an "at will clause" then that becomes a difficult legal issue to litigate.

So don't read anything into her choice not to sue.

It’s clearly bigoted to go to a booth on campus that says “try on a hijab”, and then write about how awful they were for forcing you to wear a hijab.

But, murder is the number cause of death in the black community. That isn't the case with any other ethnicity.

Wouldn't you agree that there's something very, very wrong with that?

Let's not forget that many orthodox Jewish women also cover their heads. I had a Jewish physics professor who wore a head covering. She was from Israel. I wonder if her argument also extends to Jews.

The entire point of the booth was to foster better understanding of people with different customs and clothing.

not relevant, It is unjust to punish innocent people for crimes committed centuries ago. I get the fact that you hate the constitution and ignore the prohibitions on the crap you want, but the fact remains, whites living today don't owe squat to blacks. If you want to start punishing people for slavery, start with those in Africa who captured and sold other Africans to White and Arab slavers

You miss the point. Most of the problems involving violent crime in the black community are not caused by white racists, white supremacists, Klansmen or other racist whites. It is caused by blacks. Your throwing the race card doesn't change that fact.
