This is just an attempt to paint my distaste for Trump's disgusting behavior as a failing on my part. I do not speculate on your motivations and you are not welcome to discuss mine.

It is obvious I dislike the man and his comments that are the subject of this thread are among the reasons why. Nevertheless is it so hard to hear criticism of Trump, his words and policies that the only response is to make it personal? Be bigger than that and stick to the issues. Tell us why Trump's handling of Omar and the squad in the past week was not racist.

No. She sees a troubling relationship between American and Israeli political interests - particularly on the right: she does not appear to dislike Jews.

Trump exhibits a clear dislike for people of color. He uses slurs like 'Pocahontas', tells them to 'go back'; he embraced birtherism, he praises and incessantly retweets white supremacists. He attacks people for who they are. Omar made one off-color comment about the Israel lobby's political influence; Trump has built his political career on attacking other ethnicities, Muslims and foreigners. He's been at this for years and has made it his brand. Clear difference in any rational thinker's book.

We have repeated public evidence of Trump's racism and I disapprove strongly of who he is based on this.

Now stop talking about me and get back on topic. Polite request.

That is correct. It is not possible, with any degree of intellectual honesty, to take one comment by Omar, which does have a political context and asses that against Trump's long history of bigotry and decide they are just as bad as one another or even sillier: Omar is more racist than Trump.

She has not proven herself to be either an anti-semite or a racist. Trump has demonstrated a track record of bigotry, misogyny, hatred and yes, racism. It is no longer possible to pretend he is not exactly what it says on the box.

Not to mention most of what Trump has accused her of is flat-out false. He makes up things she has supposedly said.

We criticize what Trump actually says. Trump makes up things to criticize other people for and to justify his outrageous comments which are so far below the dignity of the presidency.
