I'm still somewhat amazed (much less today than I was a year ago) that his supporters like being lied to so often. I'd consider it insulting my intelligence if the guy I backed lied to me over 10 times per hour.

Trump and much of the Trumpkins live in their own delusional alternate reality. It is a state of permanent lies and falsehoods that ignores facts and history in favor of their own nonsense that crosses the line to the mentally disturbed.

That is why they accept this.

Trump tells them what they want to believe. They accept it due to confirmation bias. They actually believe that Trump is telling them the truth, and that anyone who counters his lies is suffering from TDS.

CNN reports... CNN has been anti-trump every since he was elected, CNN cut their coverage when the 20,000 + people there started chanting CNN sucks. Sorry Calamity (not), 20,000 disagree with your charge of mentally disturbed and this is just the start.

Your defense saying that because it comes from CNN it is bogus and old and totally devoid of truth. Facts are facts and whether they come from CNN or not, they do not cease to be facts.

A statement from Trump such as this:

"Our air and water are the cleanest they've ever been by far."

and the response given by CNN that:

Facts First: After a prolonged period of improvement, US air quality is now getting worse, according to the American Lung Association, which has produced an annual data report on the subject for 20 years.

Is not an opinion or a fake fact. It is fact.

Trumpers like you continue to try to evade facts and use every excuse in the book to avoid facing the fact that Trump lies constantly to his benefit. The only person you are fooling is yourself. By not making Trump accountable for his own words you are allowing him to say anything he wants without any consequence. How would you react if your spouse was divorcing you and making outrageous statements about you and then saying to the court, but see who those complaints are coming from, she is biased for herself.

Shame on you for ignoring the truth.

I've read the linked article. CNN has documented every one of its assertions using independent sources, including official US government data. That you don't like CNN is fine. For my part, I think Fox News is absolute garbage. But a thing is not true or untrue based on whether or not you approve of the messenger.

IF Fox were to fact check a Democratic president's campaign rally, those who put their faith in CNN's fact checking would be the first to disbelieve them!
