Your slipperiness is hitting 11/10 here. It comes off as very disingenuous. I have an issue with Warren going around pretending she's a minority when she's not. I guess you don't have a problem with that, but I have a feeling you would if Warren had an R next to her name.

Generally speaking, 1/8th is the recognized limit in society. That's what most tribes use. It's not just that she called herself a person of color, either, she was marking herself down as a minority on forms. I wonder why she didn't mark every race, because I'm sure there's some trace amount of every race, not just Native American.

The debate and confusion about Warren is really over...except for within partisan right wing hackery circles. The fact that Harvard and Penn eventually touted her as a "minority hire" had nothing to with her, and everything to do with those schools relying upon lists generated by AALS. Warren had nothing to do with that. Even conservative Harvard Law Professor, Charles Fried, Reagan's former Solicitor General (and NO ONE'S idea of a "liberal")....who RECRUITED Warren to Harvard... has stated this smear campaign is "complete nonsense", and that:
“Elizabeth Warren was recruited (she did not apply—one does not apply for these positions) to be a tenured professor at Harvard because she was preeminent in the fields of bankruptcy and commercial law, two fields in which we had strong teaching needs.”
