Canada Out, North Korea In...The New America

No I want you to prove your assertion that progressivism is actually a religion. Not with more assertions but with facts. Like what does it take to actually be a religion and how does progressivism fit that mold.
I've already explained it to you.

Okay... I see you are just going to point fingers with accusations and dance around pretending you actually said something in the past. Eerily reminiscent of another poster on this board. Goodbye.

Then, they're not paying attention, and ignorance is no excuse for poor behavior.

Anyone who "hates" anyone of another nation based on trade policies is someone who's controlled by knee-jerk histrionics rather than logic. I certainly hope most of your countrymen are brighter than that.

Howie, dear friend, I do enjoy chatting with you. But on this topic I hope you'll understand that your marginally subtle trolling and Trumpist apologetics are getting boring. Either you can't comprehend the issue, or you are being willfully obtuse. Either way, I'm trying very hard to remain disciplined in not assuming that all Americans share your attitude and mentality. Certainly there is plenty of evidence to support that, which is why I can so easily dismiss what you are saying as koolaid-speak.

You need to get something through your head: I'm beyond caring what you, or any other American supporting the burning of a bridge that took over a century to build, has to say about us. It is clear that Canada needs to put itself first, in the context of an "America First" world, if only in it's dealings with America. Canadian citizens couldn't be more clear in communicating their amazingly uniform support for this mandate. One more time, we have plenty of options throughout the world. America can be a friend, or America can **** off until they put someone in charge that actually knows his ass from a hole in the ground. I think that's where we're at. :)

As I said earlier I'm not an expert on trade between our two two countries so I don't know if it was working fine. It's possible it was fine for Canada but not so much for us. If that's the case I'm glad Trump stood up for us.

It's been working for you for decades. Maybe what's not working for you is Trump.

I'll leave you along on this topic because I can see that you're very set in your ways, which I think are misguided. but, to each his own.

So you think the only two options available are calling a brutal tyrant 'a great man who loves his people' and war? Conservatives really have been coming out with some drivel recently.

So what your alternative smarty pants? :)

Tim-

It's give and take, man. Currently, with both goods and services factored in, America enjoys a trade surplus with Canada. Is your expectation that Trump should snap his fingers, and Canada just steps in line and give more? For what? I mean, seriously, Ret, for a second imagine if anyone was doing that to America. What would you say?

Making conclusions on my expectations is folly.

Canada and the US will make nice nice in short order.

That's why I asked, bud...

Here's hoping you're right, as this rather sucks.

Ok, Fish, what does it say to you?

It says different rhetoric to achieve different goals. We are trying to play nice after playing hardball with NK because we are getting results for getting rid of their nuke and missile program is something that will help stave off war, if accomplished. Also, opening up NK to the world can help reduce the utter suffering the regular people there are living in.

Trump feels that Canada isn't coming to the table in good faith to address issues brought up so it's hardball time.

Regardless, the disposition of the U.S. to either of these countries isn't even comparable. It's just silly to think so.
