Well that seems like a good start. 35 out of 39 switched to blue, blue, blue. Many on this list are guaranteed red seats. I think as their leader keeps up his dailly folly, that it will even be worse for red states during the upcoming elections. They made a big mistake groveling at the feet of this cruel evil hate filled president. They will reap the harvest, love it.

There wasn't a recent election? When and where did these seats flip?

Oklahoma has been interesting to watch.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 2020 election ended up like the 2008 election. Democrat president, house, and senate. I know the pendulum always swings back and forth, but Trump and his goons are doing nothing but pissing off a lot of people, who will vote for Democrats just to stop Trump's agenda. It also wouldn't surprise me if things swung to the far left, especially because the far right is currently emboldened due to a president who pretends to be sympathetic to them and their views.

That's my fear the only thing that's shining thru on that front is there are a lot of southern democrats and red state democrats that could win which would allow the party to be a more middle road democratic party.

The upcoming midterms could be the most exciting since 94.

One thing is for sure, until we can swing the political pendulum back towards the middle, we are going to continue down this road of moral and ethical decline.

The Dems have to focus like a laser on 2018. No more shutting down the government for DACA. Let Trump do it, he seems eager enough.

The U.S. Senate changing to blue is much more likely than the house. Gerrymandering has the house pretty well protected from flipping to Democratic.

It's hard to say.

I think the House is very much in play, with about forty seats up for grabs. The gerrymandering might be bad, but half of the seats in play were districts Clinton won last election. The rest merely lean Republican by six or seven points, and as we've seen for the GOP as of late, leaning is not nearly enough for them to keep seats, especially with the most energized Democratic base since 2006-2008.

The Senate really should be easy as pie, even with many Democrats up for reelection.

All that said, this is the DNC. They could ****-up a wet dream.

You're right about that! 3 of the last 4 Democratic presidential nominations have been major duds - Al Snore in 2000 John Kerry in '04, and of course Hillary "I need an extra warehouse for my baggage" Clinton this last cycle! The Democratic party needs to find someone who can motivate both the base and independants as did Obama.

I wouldn't be surprised if some turned back after Pelosi's 8 hour love fest. I'm all for the Dreamers gaining citizenship, but to say "The Dreamers are the pride of our nation" is an insult to everyone else. Thanks Pelosi. Guess the rest of us are nothing. Way to win people over.

Sad to see small minds believing the horse **** CNN, MSNBC, and social media want to vomit all over the place.

Voting Democrat in the party's current platform is voting against the good of American interest.

Trump himself is doing that. I have no doubt that Democrats will end up back in power, likely very soon. The problem is, once they are back in power, their voters don't come out strong in the mid-terms, which leads to the cesspool known as the Republican party starting to gain back power. The Democrats, if they consistently vote in large numbers every election cycle, could pretty much defeat the GOP every single time. The only elections the GOP actually wins are the ones where Democrat turn out is low.

So we will have a right wing dictator instead, a cruel evil hate based party with their cruel evil hate based leader. We will always have a conservative party but this one has to go first.

Why? They will vote against you, lower wages, never mind the stats on them are really not promising.

Its all about importing future voters, always keep that in mind. They will sign praises on them, claiming they are "better" "smarter" "harder working" "more more", "more American" then anyone who disagrees with them, facts be damned for the sole reason they want their vote.
Dems have a habit of importing voters.

add to that, the fact that demographics will put them in the history books real soon. The right has no way to get a person of color to vote for them after they have **** on them for decades.

Why not, your side always love "One party rule" in areas YOUR side controls. Whats wrong? I mean after all if our ideas are so bad then people will just reject them, right?

Whats wrong? Can stand some competition?

So that's different then offering tax cuts to everyone. The strongest richest country in the world was created by immigrants. The fact you don't like these people is hardly a reason for good American to dislike them or see them as a threat.

Oh factor turn out, the Economy, the Tax Cuts, the media having less believe-able, never mind the DNC is broke, its really an uphill fight, never mind the what 12 plus senators in blue states that went red that are already tied this early with GOP front runners..

After the Trump fiasco, I agree. It will take many years, IMO, for the GOP to rid themselves of the stench of Trump and his alt-right goons have left on the party. The GOP and right wing media, with their southern strategy, and hatred of Obama, created the environment for a race baiting birther like Trump to thrive in.

Bush Jr. actually made some decent gains with minorities, particularly hispanics, but after the way the right acted during the Obama years, which led to the election of Donald Trump, those gains are gone, and you are left with a political party that's nearly 100% white, with some of them being outright self admitted "white nationalists" who are emboldened by current president.

It is really hard to argue with a demagogue. You live in your stew, the rest of us will work to make this country better.

First we are 20 plus Trillion in debt, we are not "Rich".

Really? How many immigrants Signed the Constitution again? You do not get to claim you "built something" after it was already built.

If you change a light bulb on a house, you did not "built the house", you just changed a lightbulb .
Yeah, its not the fact they are a burden, lower wages, commit crime at higher rates, right?

The facts are still true, even if your mind is not able or willing to accept them. Your lies are not believable anymore. That is why your side lost and will lose.
