EWWW Veggie burgers! Eeek. Seriously, I've tried them, I haven't found one that didn't make me gag

i like the Morning Star brand. they are best pan fried, IMO.

My friends are always happy with Morning Star "hamburger crumbles" (or some sort). I put it in pasta sauce to take care of protein. I prefer beans, but imitation meat is more universally appreciated.

I'll a whirl give it however...

i usually get grillers original for the calories, but grillers prime is better. it's about as close as i'm likely to get to a quarter pounder, which i do miss a bit.

Burger King currently has the Impossible Whopper. I haven't had a hamburger in a long time, but I think it tastes scary like real meat. It's charred even. I pick one up now and then to support the market.

i sometimes do Gardein crumbles, which work well for Hamburger Helper. i'm aware that some vegetarians look at meat substitute eating vegetarians like dry drunks, but i don't care much about that.

At first, imitation meat was not pleasant. After a decade or so, old tastes fell away. Now it's just a variety of texture.

i want to try one of those. they don't have them in my area yet.

It's different. It was a bit surreal. The charring, yikes, weird.

Morning Star chicken nuggets are good. Also available in buffalo and barbecue.

PS. For lunch today I had mac and cheese (Amy's, no dairy) and hotdogs (Smartdogs or somesuch).

Veg ice cream now rocks. No reason to use milk for that. Coconut milk, almond milk, Cherry Garcia...

I can't eat fast food, it's like wreckage on me. I can however, get the right mix of sirloin. chuck and ground brisket and make a mean mesquite grilled masterpiece...

No such thing as almond milk- its just ground almonds, sugar and water.

I'm aware almonds don't have utters.

Most of a rotisserie chicken.

Today's lunch was some mixed veggies and a pan seared swordfish steak with a galic, lemon and ginger sauce.

vegetarian turkey and cheese on a pretzel roll.

I attended a business conference and they had a surprisingly expensive catering service. It was a buffet with smoked duck gyros, grilled asparagus, Hainese chicken rice, tenderloin tips with onions and mushrooms, deep fried eggrolls, BBQ pork roast, and tres leches cake. Pretty good.
