Only those with proper security clearances? So why would the US ambassador to Italy have requested an Unmasking of Flynn? Is the US embassy in Italy responsible for counter-intelligence investigations against incoming Whitehouse administrations and their officials?

Or did they need to get advice from the Pope?

...sometimes it may potentially be more holy and more moral to petition for a contingent of subject matter specialists to Inquire as to the moral and social benefit such a relation could accomplish in modern times.

So you think it was the Pope getting the inside scoop on General Flynn? The Pope is not part of the US govt, and not even a US citizen - how the hell does the wider outside world get to eavesdrop on the private conversation of US citizens, courtesy of Obama's Whitehouse?

Is the national security infrastructure being converted into a national yoke infrastructure, so that America becomes a compliant vassal state? This is exactly the sort of thing that critics of globalization fear.
Instead of turning swords into ploughshares, they're being turned into shackles?


Trump and Flynn have a worldview that's disliked by not only Obama, but also by his broader cabal of globalist allies. Flynn who was a veteran in the intelligence field as former head of the Defense Intelligance Agency, would have known how to reorganize the intelligence infrastructure in a way that could break the grip of existing Deep State puppetmasters who have spent a long time cultivating their influence and infestation of that power structure.

This whole situation needs to be investigated exhaustively. The American public needs to know, and have a right to know.

The issue is perjury. Your own guys fired him for lying. He lied to the Court, one way or the other; which is it?

Its not a "loophole." A FISA warrant applies domestically.
We know that Flynn was in the Dominican Republic when he made the call. Where was Kisylak?

To believe democrats we must believe that nobody requested thousands of unmaslings in the Obama administration in spite of documented evidence to the contrary, and especially that Obama had nothing to do with the unmasking of Flynn's name because Obama didn't have the first clue what these spies and unmaskers were doing right under his stuffed up nose.

Okay, so Flynn's 4th Amendment rights as an American and his treatment by the US govt don't change because he's not inside the United States.

Flynn as a former director of DIA - appointed by Obama, in fact - means he would be completely aware that everything gets monitored. He wouldn't be naive about that.

None of this explains why so many different people had to unmask Flynn, or were allowed to. Does the US Surgeon General get to unmask and listen in on Flynn too?

"Hey guys, the ball game's been canceled today - so you wanna go do something else? Like Unmask and listen to the new NSA, General Flynn? I was hoping we could watch Trump's pee tape, but it turns out that was just a rumor"

FISA is about monitoring threats to American security within the USA.
There is nothing wrong with that.

The procedure is that when the report is generated about the target of FISA, the names of incidental contacts are masked. That is the 4th amendment protection.
However, it can certainly be the case where knowing the identity of that incidental contact may help in understanding the conversation. In which case, a request is made to 'unmask the person to reveal his or identity.
Who requests the unmasking, whether its approved ect. is all recorded and tracked.

Since this Presidentially-ordered wiretap transcript does not require masking of names of US citizens who get picked up, then the President & Attorney General have to ensure that the name of those US citizens don't get leaked - and any decision toward disclosure requires that Senate Intelligence Committee be notified in advance of this.


So how did they determine that a phone call between Flynn and the Russians was a phone call between 2 foreign powers? Okay, the Russians are a foreign power - but Flynn??

Screaming about who is going to prison really isn't helpful and unnecessarily inflames things.

It IS somewhat amusing though that the Obama Admin relied upon information from foreign sources to try to support a theory that the Trump campaign was conspiring with foreigners to interfere in the election.

This is a wonderful example of why Trump loves the uneducated. And really. Epoch Times? Small wonder your head is so messed up. Those communications were all but certainly collected under FISA Section 702. This section specifically "allows the government to obtain the communications of foreigners outside the United States, including foreign terrorist threats,". 702 does not allow the government to target the communications of any American, even if that American is a terrorist.

702 is a generalized directive from the FISA court that allows for collection from a certain foreign intelligence asset for a certain period of time, which makes it broader than a warrant. If an American is communicating with a valid 702 authorized foreign target, those communications could be incidentally collected. In addition, if federal authorities are already investigating a US person, they may cross-check that person's information against the 702 database. Unmasking occurs when intelligence analysts are looking at intelligence reporting from any number of foreign intelligence collection sources, including Section 702, and they see a US person whose name has been redacted and the standard is met to reveal the name. Note this list of unmasking requests does not include the NSA approval letters that would accompany them.
