Trump invokes KKK slogan 'love it or leave it' at North Carolina rally

Indeed!

38932c6e-a81a-4d13-978f-837d427ebf46

Not only that, but have you ever SEEN Trump with Hitler?

Don't you think that's a little suspicious?

It's the whole Clark Kent/Superman thing!

Except with, you know, satanic Nazis.

There's going to be serious violence, maybe even people being killed by these deplorables.

Not Trump's supporters, nor the cowards in the GOP will care, but it's going to happen.. His ramping up the rhetoric and racism is daily now. He's going to trigger someone out there.. The daily rhetoric? These hate filled rallies? Nothing but violence will come from this.

You mean the way the hate filled rhetoric of the left prompted the hate filled leftist to attack the ICE center? You don't care about that though, right?

Invented and used regularly are two different things. Context matters.

The story itself clearly shows the paraphernalia from the KKK touting the same slogan.

It was commonplace during the Vietnam war. Are you just going to ignore that because it destroys your narrative?

Yip, it just a step away from chanting, "string them up"...

It is common place with the local KKK as well, so the same could be asked of you?

If the Democrats keep chasing the laser light Trump keeps moving around on the floor, he's going to create enough chaos where they will waste time continually reacting to his nonsense. This is the equivalent of getting into a shouting match with a child; you end up reduced to throwing another tantrum and what caused the tantrum doesn't get addressed. From a media perspective he's winning this unfortunately; that is of course his strength so continuing to feed it adds to the chaos. It's the old "squeakiest wheel gets the grease" strategy.

I'm not saying his idiocy shouldn't be addressed, but I think a few concise statements from party leadership chastising his out of line comments should do it. By continually harping about Trump's racism is a distraction opponents can't get mired in for too long lest they look like loons chasing their own shadows, and Trump ends up looking like the saner choice.

Yeah, the Dems just seem to be reacting to him rather than taking the initiative- complete lack of leadership. I have a feeling Trump will win reelection with no problem.

Trump invokes slogan used regularly by local SC KKK division in campaign rally

"At a rally in North Carolina, US President Donald Trump doubled down on his attacks against four Democratic congresswomen and appeared to invoke a slogan used by white nationalists telling them to 'love it or leave it'."

“If they don’t love it, tell them to leave it" - that was US President Donald Trump’s message about four Democratic congresswomen at a rally in North Carolina, where supporters called for one of four female politicians - who was born overseas - to be “sent back”.

“Let ’em leave,” Mr Trump said of the four women. “They’re always telling us how to run it, how to do this, how to do that. You know what? If they don’t love it, tell ’em to leave it.”

I find it hard to believe that his handlers weren't aware of this reference in this specific area of the country—especially in regards to the topic at hand.

The question is, what level of racial rhetoric does Trump have to use before his supporters find it abhorrent enough to call him out on it? My guess is there is no bottom, no mark to hit on that.

I heard that slogan a lot during the Reagan years, usually attributed to the whole Commie scare. I had no idea that it originated with the KKK.

He's calling for another Tim McVeigh.

Oh that's nothing new. Stuff like that always carries around a big flurry of deflection with it, like antibodies.
Every time I see a tightly organized agitprop campaign saying that lefties are the true violent thugs, I'm always half-expecting to hear news of another violent right wing extremist going off the rails and mowing down a bunch of people.

If it was a "word cloud" it might look something like this:

Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco (Tim McVeigh) Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco WacoWaco Waco Waco

So right wing scum should leave then since they hate everything this country stands for. They hate diversity, they hate equality, they hate everybody not a fellow white, christian conservative.

So pack on up and get out hypocrites

You mean the way the hate filled rhetoric of the left prompted the hate filled leftist to attack the ICE center? You don't care about that though, right?

Even if this guy can be tied directly to and acting on behalf of Antifa, that pales compared to what racist right-wing ideology can accomplish when set on it. Tim McVeigh proved that.

Not quite sure it did but I definitely remember it in the sixties. If you disagreed with the Vietnam War you got "Love it or leave it" shoved down your throat.

It's already happening. Right wing violence is up under Trump. Hate crimes up under Trump. People are getting beaten and harassed for being people of color

This is how ridiculous conservatives are. I would almost think all the conservatives posters here are just trolls, but then again, I see the Trump rallies and I guess maybe not. There truly are people that stupid, that dishonest, that hypocritical, that they would try to put forth such a dumb, pathetic deflection

It's so bad Jussie Smollett figured he'd best put a noose around his own neck just to beat Trump's Army of Nazi Goons to the punch!

*sigh*

To be a clown and a liberal in the world today.

Even if an Independent wasn't particularly fond of Trump, how could they not be pushed to support him after watching the clowns on the Left and their never ending vomit of 'everything is racist' gambit?

Well that's just stupid. That McVey had a better plan than this leftist moron does NOT make Mcveys ideology more dangerous. Use your head.

You think the endless triggered liberal hysteria might backfire, eh?

I think they need to double down!

What's worse than Nazis?

Celine Dion?

If said independents do decide to vote for Trump because the potential for violent hate crimes is negligible, then they will have to face those increased rates. You guys complain about the smoke detector liberals bringing up racism but fail to acknowledge the smoldering faulty wires in the walls.

The house burns down as a result.

Now I just want to point out that I've been a member of this forum for 5 years, I pop in regularly. I have less than 200 comments in those 5 years. I'm not the kind of person to sound the alarm on anything unless I genuinely believe it's hit a crisis point.

I believe we've hit a crisis point with Trump and his racial rhetoric. This isn't coded anymore, the white nationalists who hid in the shadows aren't hiding anymore. We all should care about that.

A better plan than the moronic Antifa leftist came up with. McVey was more 'successful' in his slaughter than was the Antifa idiot because McVey clearly had a better plan. Not sure how that swept over your head, but hopefully its clear now. Its NOT due to his ideology as you originally claimed.

Another dumb, embarrassing deflection. This does absolutely nothing to refute the facts that hate crimes and racist attacks are up under Trump.

First) This is in response to these four detestable spawns of satan. The Presidents most important job is to protect the citizens from anti American radicals like this.

Second) Call it racism, Call it white nationalism, more and more Americans agree with the Presidents message which is certainly justified based on the disgusting behaviour of the 4 anti American traitors.

Third) This country should have a dress code. The President will not let this nation become a third world country. If you want to be here you need to act like an adult. I think it is high time we start cleaning this nation up. It's like the liberals are the slobs of the world. Conservatives like to keep things clean and neat.
