Sorry, I do not even know what "virtue signaling" is let alone what it has to do with cheating on your wife.

I am old enough to remember when conservatives at least gave lip service to old fashioned family values instead of justifying a President who brags about grabbing women between the legs as his right.

Now, typically the award is for more than just being the best at what they do. To get the award they usually also used their fame or wealth to help others or inspire others. Tom Hanks in part got it due to his work and commitment to the military. Ellen in large part got it for risking her career to come out back when coming out was considered a career death sentence. And her career DID take a hit. People forget that.

Getting the award doesn't mean the person doesn't have flaws. Michael Jordan got the medal from Obama. Jordan cheated on his wife and was involved in sports gambling. But the medal is for contributing great things to your particular field, not for being a great person. So while Tiger probably wouldn't have been among my first picks for the award, I don't really have an issue with it.

Tiger had donated a lot of his early winnings to sports in black communities. He also was the first black to play at many of these clubs and broke barriers so others could get in and play.

The man came back after a family break-up and several back surgeries to win the Masters.
That's an accomplishment of huge proportions. That you and so many, feel this need to whine about Trump awarding Tiger for this, is just a sickening display of childish "Me Too-ism" or...

I join other members (and guests) in giving a shoutout to His Excellency, the President, for his reported plan to honor Mr. Tiger Woods.

Athletics are one area where all Americans can together as one people.

Although I have no interest whatsoever in sports, I very much admire those men and women who excel in their field.
