Trump accuses Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower

As someone who came of age during the Reagan years, the behavior of the GOP establishment blows my mind.
Back in my day, it was the GOP who were very concerned about the appearance of being too friendly with the Ruskies.

And here we are full circle.

Bill Buckley jr would be called a liberal these days.
 
This Trump Tower stuff isn't news...or, it shouldn't be. Yes, Obama requested FISA approval to tap Trump two times last year...the first request was denied and the second was approved. This wasn't "hidden". It was talked about in the "media"...meaning not in the Mainstream Media. Here are a couple of links:

Now...since Trump sent out his spate of tweets about this, the Mainstream Media...including FoxNews...is acting like they haven't heard of all this.



If FoxNews...and the REST of the Mainstream Media...truly haven't heard about this until this morning, then one can only surmise that the lot of them are incompetent idiots. Or...they could all just be covering up that they've known about this all along and didn't want to put out information that makes Obama look bad. Either scenario is quite possible in my opinion.

Now. There is a WHOLE lot more to this story. Stuff that corroborates the recent claims by Rush and Levin that Obama is behind this witch hunt being directed at Trump. I expect this all to come out in the days ahead. I'm thinking Obama is eventually going to have to publicly make a statement. But don't worry, liberals/Trump Haters, Obama is good at covering his ass with lies.

Maybe.

There're some shady end-runs around the Constitution which exist and were strengthened by the Patriot Act.

So I don't feel confident that this would be a requirement if this happened.

We should probably wait for evidence that this even happened before we speculate about how it happened.

I guess this contradicts the Right's theory that Obama and co. never cared about Trump's collusion with the Russians before he won the presidency.

Since there's precedent, and we know Obama's capable of doing something like this, Trumps concerns and his accusations are justified

Neither. The call was "intercepted". Once they identify that one party is an American, by law, they have to stop recording. Not only did they not stop, they leaked it to the press. Both actions are felonies.

The question was is how does that further his argument. A change of policy dealing with Russia doesn't further the posters argument.

This was surveillance. They are supposed to stop recording once they identify that one of the people on the call is an American.

The Obama appointee is out once the new Deputy AG is confirmed. Those hearings take place this coming Tuesday. Your thoughts could be confirmed once the public sees what type of shenanigans the left tries to pull during the hearings.

Really? Obama reportedly spent about 6 years, age 4 to 10, living with his mother and step-father in Indonesia. Before and after that, he spent his childhood in Hawaii until he graduated high school. He went to three colleges... Occidental, Columbia and Harvard Law. He spent most of his adult life living in the Chicago area until he won a U.S. Senate seat in 2004 and the WH in 2008. Can you expound on how he comes from a culture of dictatorship?
