Trump signs executive orders on coronavirus economic relief

They aren't that stupid to sue and guarantee defeat in November

Do you really think this turns the tide for Trump in the same manner as the Comey letter?

:lamo

They'll sue and they'll win, all the while shielding themselves from any significant blowback... safe and secure behind the $3.5 trillion HEROS Act.

You may cheer all you wish.

What cut are you talkingabout?

The one that Pelosi is scaring you with? LOL

Is this more "fiscal conservatism" at work? Will you only care about deficits and debt when Biden is elected?

Now imagine you are the gleeful unemployed Trump supporter in a week or so when no check comes....

Of course! This entire act is a farce. Republicans know they are gonna get killed in November. This is a last ditch attempt for Trump to try to gain some kind of momentum going into November. The Republican party that he threw under the bus tries to absolve itself from the one-term President, sitting silent while indictment after indictment eventually lands him a hefty prison sentence. They'll all beg with slogans like, "We were duped too!" and "We see the plight of our fiscal folly!" or something of that nature. Rinse and repeat of budget impasses and shutdowns over concerns of federal debt....

Now imagine you are the gleeful unemployed Trump supporter in a week or so when no check comes....

What's worse are the poor saps that follow the FICA deferment ending up owing the government a **** ton of money at the end of the year.

But the reaction to it called the Trump EO "fascistic" and authoritarian and that he ought be impeached.

Article 1 Section 8 Clause 1...

I really can't make you learn the material necessary to have this discussion.

Do you think those who are struggling to get by really care?

Do you really think Trump or GOP really cares? They're only focus is politics. The only action they had taken was to not do anything at all. The Democrats had their relief bill in place way back in May. The Repubs didn't even get theirs put together until just last week. The GOP version has 2 trillion less for relief for the unemployed, small business, schools and states while also tossing in some pork for additional F35 fighters. Just WTF does extra F35s do help relieve the struggles of those suffering from this pandemic? Why is something like that even in their bill?

It is a master stroke. The Dems won't sue. That would be political suicide for them. All they can do is seethe and grumble. Can you just see Trump's campaign commercial if they sue? This is a no win for the Dems. Al they can do now is criticize the president for helping people who are out of work and struggling to pay their bills. Not a good fit for them. In short, Trump bent them over and said "You want to hold things up because you want mail in voting to ensure your side is elected in perpetuity? Here ya go! Need some more Vaseline?"
I can see the Dem commercial:

{in a sincere female voice}
"In May, the Democratically controlled House passed a sweeping Covid plan that would extend, in full, unemployment benefits and provide money for testing but the Republican controlled Senate wouldn't agree to it. So, President Trump tried to use his executive powers to slash needed unemployment benefits for families by two-thirds but Democrats sued him to prevent it and bring the Senate back to the negotiating table.

President Trump made the speech that cut worker's benefits before millionaire donors at his Hamptons country club."

Vote Joe Biden, he's on the side of working families.

I'm Joe Biden, and I approve this message.

Yep-- and President Obama did the same as President Trump is doing now.
SCOTUS recently declined President Trump the right to rescind Mr. Obama's foray into illegal executive order.
If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Fair enough.
But the reaction to it called the Trump EO "fascistic" and authoritarian and that he ought be impeached.

So where was the same outrage directed toward President Obama for his DACA EO?
Ought he have been impeached?

Did you support President Trump's rescinding of that DACA EO as a great step toward repairing the Constitutional damage caused by President Obama DACA order? Or did you complain that President Trumps rescinding of the order was an example of his hostility toward immigrants and foreigners and all that stuff?

If you feel I took some hypocritical stance, please present it.

Again, playing "whataboutism" is a dishonest tactic designed to give a pass to Trump.

False.

You clearly are not familiar with the duties of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the federal governement.

If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Your opinion of the legality is unnecessary given your inability to comprehend constitutional authority.

I have no idea whether you have a hypocritical stance.
There is no 'whataboutism' involved here. If its legal for Obama, its legal for Trump. It is no more complicated than that.

False.

Obama did the same as Trump is doing now.
Indeed, the refusal of SCOTUS to permit Trump from revoking what Obama did with DACA s what Trump is using to justify his acts here.

That's just plain false. Indeed, it is so imbued with falsehood and ignorance it is complicated to correct. It's constitutionally incorrect, legally incorrect, factually incorrect, and morally incorrect. It's almost as if you didn't have a clue what the **** you were talking about and didn't actually care that it was obviously false.

And I am luvin it. He has learned from the crooked, evil, Democrats. This will be campaign fodder and royally screw the Dems. I am ecstatic beyond words.

This is playing dirty like the Dems to do to get votes. Now, even YOUR side will say, "Hmmm, TRUMP kept me afloat while the Dems were holding out for money to give free medical to illegals"

Buh bye, Joe Biden.

None of this will happen.

Stupid useful idiots will say, "Damn that Trump!!"

Smart knowledgeable people will say, "That's a damned lie!!"

Which one are you, MTAtech?

I would not bet on that? Trump hit them with a broad side.... lets see what fable they come with now?

I was telling my wife that I hope he does this and lo and behold, he DID. He bent them over and spanked them good and they don't know what to do now.

SSI is a means tested welfare program. It's not an entitlement.... Therefore, this discussion has nothing to do with you.

SSI is NOT welfare. You are 100% wrong.

If they sued and "won", they still lose. They look like greedy pigs with their hands out for money that has nothing to do with ow income people getting checks from Trump. They are in a corner. All Trumphas to dois make a campaign commercial that says "The Democrats are trying to keep starving unemployed people from getting a sorely needed 1,600.00 a month just to get mail in voting passed"
