Susan Rice Blames ‘Foreign Actors’ for Stirring George Floyd Protests: ‘Right Out of the Russian Playbook’


Former Obama adviser Susan Rice has blamed the violent protests that rocked major American cities over the weekend on “foreign actors,” and even suggested that Russia could be involved in stirring them up.

“I’m not reading the intelligence today, or these days — but based on my experience, this is right out of the Russian playbook,” Rice, who served as national-security adviser to president Obama, said in a CNN interview on Sunday. “But we cannot allow the extremists, the foreign actors, to distract from the real problems we have in this country that are longstanding, centuries old, and need to be addressed responsibly.”

Anchor Wolf Blitzer responded, “you’re absolutely right on the foreign interference.” Blitzer then asked Rice if she thought the Russians were attempting to “embarrass” the U.S. by “promoting the racial divide in our country.”

Susan Rice makes claim Russians could be behind violent George Floyd demonstrations

Former Obama administration national security adviser Susan Rice bizarrely suggested in a televised interview Sunday that the Russians could be behind the violent nationwide demonstrations following the in-custody death of George Floyd, although she offered no evidence for the incendiary claim.

Rice's made the claim after top Democrats insisted for years that the White House had conspired with Russia, although Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence to support any conspiracy with Russia by any U.S. actor to influence the 2016 election. Her remarks also came amid efforts by Democrats to pin the blame on outside white supremacist agitators, even though data suggests the vast majority of arrested protesters in recent days are local.

"To designate Antifa a terrorist organization, fine, but let's also focus on the right-wing terrorist organizations," Rice told CNN's Wolf Blitzer, referring to President Trump's decision earlier in the day to brand the left-wing militant group as a terrorist organization. "The white supremacists that he's called, in the past, very fine people."

This is the person who blamed coordinated terrorist attacks on two US facilities as being 'protesters reacting to a video'. She's a real credible expert.

Interestingly, in the press conference this weekend, the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul said the people rioting, pillaging, looting, and assaulting officers were all from out of the area. I guess they have moved to blaming people WAY out of the area.

So in other words, if someone with a Russian IP-address is spouting off on the internet about the George Floyd killing, then this somehow gets conflated into a conspiracy by the Russian govt against the United States?

I'd like to point out that there may be any number of people around the world right now who may be spouting their opinion on George Floyd's killing. Does that mean a whole lotta foreign conspiracies goin on?

The Russian playbook is to play on divisions within the United States, and racial divisions are easily the most severe kind in the US. They did it in 2016 and it’s completely reasonable to think they’re doing it now.

Put it this way, the folks who are coming into these cities to start trouble might not BE Putin's Little Green Men but they sure as hell are using a lot of similar tactics both to obfuscate and to leave confusing clues as to who they are.

A local bar I used to frequent in South Minneapolis got tagged with BLM and Black Lives Matter all over it when it got torched, and the very first apartment I lived in got tagged with the "A" symbol and "F***12" when IT got torched.

Now, if I am not a person who routinely deconstructs the dynamics of a protest and then dissects the patterns of looting and destruction that latch onto these events, guess what? I'm going to assume that the calling cards being left behind are face value.
Thus, The Hex thinks the BLM folks burned down his bar and I am seeing anarchists burning down my old apartment building.

If it turns out both places were torched by people affiliated with the "Boogaloo" bunch, how will I ever know?
How would anyone know, how can anyone prove it one way or another?

But one thing is indeed certain, the agitprop and the forum spamming is looking and sounding exactly the way Putin's Little Green Men sounded when they set off to divide and conquer Ukrainian people.
The tactics are a spot on match.

Who benefits? Who gains? Who gets the payoff from a deeply divided America with warring factions on all sides ready to hate and kill each other?

PUTIN, that's who.

There is no racial division over this issue. Everyone is united in thinking the cop basically murdered this guy and the protesters and rioters are both white and black. These riots are being spawned by and populated by the far left

But I’m kind of curious. What did they think was going to happen?

The president has a real job. His words have real consequences. Electing someone to that position who has no compunction about stoking racial tensions and a history of incendiary, violent, racist rhetoric—and totally uninterested in even the idea of national unity—was always a ticking time bomb.

None of this is to absolve the looters and rioters—they should be condemned in the strongest possible terms. But no one should be surprised that we’ve gotten to this point.

Well I don't know what you guys are talking about re teams.
I'm talking about one of my favorite bars and a cute little old apartment building where my rent was 110 bucks a month back in the Seventies.
That's my REAL life and those are REAL places I used to go, filled with REAL people who weren't a "team"...they were just people.

Seems you're the one all caught up in the tribalism, seeing as how you projected it first.
Go find a mirror and check if you can even see a human being in there.
