Golden Globe Awards host Ricky Gervais tears into Hollywood elite, Disney, Amazon, Apple

Judging from their response, they "got it". They just didn't like it. It's sad for them. I thought the woman that played Sean Spicer , and Baldwins Trump on SNL were both hysterically funny. Just because I disagree with their politics, doesn't mean I can't enjoy their comedy. I disagree with robert de niro on almost everything, but I love his acting. You lefties need to relax a little. Enjoy yourself. Life's too short. Getting back to Gervais, that's what him so funny. Satire starts with a degree of truth, which gets exaggerated for effect. That's what makes it funny.

As I said before, Tom Hanks didn't seem to think it was funny. If you really want to know how the Hollywood elite took it, look at yesterday on "The Talk", which more than half the show was dedicated to the Golden Globe Awards. In previous years they critiqued the host every time. The Gervais monologue was over 7 minutes long. His name wasn't even mentioned a single time. Again, you guys shouldn't take it so personally. Life is fleeting.

He's great. Have you seen his net flix series "After life"? OMG, I have to keep rewinding over and over, as I laugh so much, and he's so quick, I miss 2 or 3 jabs at somebody. I can't wait for the second season. I like him on that game show with the kids as well. Can't remember what it was called.

Have you considered that there was nothing that needed critiquing? If they were angry about it don't you think they would have taken time to bash him?

Also, why are you watching all these shows? I can't remember the last time I watched an awards show or the talk, the view... For someone who supposedly hates Hollywood liberals you sure do like to watch them on TV. Next thing you know you'll probably be electing a President with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame...oh wait.

Nobody watched it live. The only reason we know about it is because it went viral. The reason it went viral is because a liberal bashed liberals. Are you starting to get this now?

OHHH? So, what qualified trump to be president in the first place, since prior to Jan 20th 2017 he was just a celebrity running his mouth? Using your logic, Jane Fonda is qualified to be president just by getting herself elected. Fonda is just as good at promoting herself as trump.

I did not and do not think Trump is qualified. But he won, so he's President. Jane Fonda is just as unqualified as Trump, with the added resume entry of having provided aid and comfort to the enemy.

Hollywood is 99% liberal and it is rare that conservatives get any good parts. Liberals like to stick together as do conservatives. It's how humans are set up for survival.
