Officer kills woman inside her Texas home after welfare call

Are you a mouse, rat, or a fox.

Why do you misrepresent the facts.

What? I think you confused me with another poster. I have made no claim in this thread regarding Trump and his racism.

I asked JustHanging on why he used "your President". imo, nothing has been reported to indicate the LEO is racist.

agreed, I couldn't figure out his complaint. we don't have enough facts yet. BTW black females have very low rates of violent crime so the victim should not have created a heightened fear in the officer.

That (bolded above) makes the assumption that the police are always[/i[ responding to a crime in progress and thus a "perp" is, in fact, present wherever they are "responding". This apparently was not the case in this instance, and the only people present inside that house were its occupants who were subjected to a "welfare check". How, exactly, was a person inside of their own home who *gasp* left the door open deemed to have been "posing a threat"?

Per the video they didn't even get a chance to put up their hands. The cop shot the woman immediately after he told her to put up her hands, through a window no less. I can't believe that is proper police protocol.

That's a pretty strong point.

Oops you are correct! Sorry!

Does reporting the facts of the case cause racial tensions to increase? I don't know, does it?

Really, you have no opinion other than "I don't know,"

imo, it can add to increase tension.

Agreed.
If I remember correctly the LEO had less than 2 years with the department. Not sure if that means he is a rookie or just hadn't been there that long.

Very sad event. Hopefully the investigation will find out exactly what happened and make recommendations for changes in police procedures.

I am also mad that the news media felt it was important to identify the race of the LEO and the victim. Seems the msm wants to keep racial tensions high. There is no mention that the LEO was influenced by the victims race. That is there is no evidence provided that the shooting was a "hate crime".

Police procedures. What a fkn joke. I have been arrested, my maximum penalty was 10 years in prison and a 70,000 fine.

What was wrong the procedures that they used to arrest you? Seem a judge or jury found you guilty.

When there is no proof that race entered was the cause of the shooting its inflammatory to mention it. The local media rarely identifies the race of people that commit robberies etc. unless there is a specific need to do it.

Why do you think that it is inflammatory to mention the race of the woman who was shot?

You are missing words in your quotation. Go back to school.

Do you think law enforcement should generally conceal information from the public that in their opinion might cause tension? Or only when they wrongfully shoot someone.

"White cop, non-white citizen", were the only facts needed. Just like the usual suspects in this thread expressing their outrage and don't know any more facts than that.

Up to this point, very few, if any posted outrage.
Most posted how sad the situation is.
I am not sure what you'd be reading or comprehending.

As I said it was bad. The woman was with in her rights to have a gun and to even point it out the window. It would explain why he fired though. He had no way to know if she was a intruder pointing a gun or not. It will be interesting to find out if she was armed or not. A few years ago a Fort Worth police shot and killed a elderly white guy who had heard a prowler and was holding a gun when the police arrived

How about they take cover and attempt to contact her instead of shooting first? I saw no reports of bystanders nearby, it was 2:30 am. The risk of the interior shooter hitting other people seems low.

Because the criminal dope-fiends who lived in the house would most likely be sleeping and so would be less of a threat to the officers as they broke down the door?

Did you just make this all up?
And why?
