Alabama Senate approves near-total ban on abortion; sends bill to the governor

No one calls killing a born baby an abortion.

He induced labor than when a baby was born he killed the born baby.

You are both incorrect. It’s called partial birth abortion. The doctor physically turns the baby around grabs the feet and pulls until the baby’s body has been born. All except the head. Then scissors are used to open the skull and the spinal cord is severed. That’s partial birth abortion. NY has passed laws allowing the baby to be killed right up until the time it is born. And believe me these babies are larger than beans.

Partial birth abortions have been illegal since 2003.

NY passed no such law.

No, partial birth abortion kills the fetus when it is partly expelled but not fully expelled and it is against the law since I think 2002.

From Wiki:

Intact dilation and extraction (intact D&E) is a surgical procedure that removes an intact fetus from the uterus. The procedure is used both after late-term miscarriages and in late-term abortions.

It is also known as intact dilation and evacuation, dilation and extraction (D&X, or DNX, disfavored term), and, in United States federal law, as partial-birth abortion. However, partial-birth abortion is not an accepted medical term, and is not used by abortion practitioners or the medical community at large.[1][2]

In 2000, although only 0.17% (2,232 of 1,313,000) of all abortions in the United States were performed using this procedure,[3] it developed into a focal point of the abortion debate. It was outlawed in most cases by the 2003 Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, which was upheld in the case of Gonzales v. Carhart.

........
Intact D and E can still be used if the fetus is already dead before it is partly removed.

Some women including my self miscarry at 15 or past 15 weeks. An intact D and E would allow the fetus to be removed by a doctor without having to dismember it and remove it it in pieces.
.........
What Gosnell did was induce labor. He waited until it was fully born than he killed the baby. That is called murder.

They tested the babies he killed and they had breathed air.

Getting the Party of Infanticide on the Record – American Greatness

Democrats have always been the party of abortion. For a while, the mantra was “safe, legal and rare.” But in the era of the progressive Left, they have turned that slogan on its head. As of last Monday, Senate Democrats have confirmed that their party is now for unrestricted, unregulated, and unlimited abortion.

Last week, 44 Senate Democrats voted against legislation that would have required doctors to give the same care to infants who survived abortion procedures as they would give to any other infant. So radical is this new Democratic Party that 44 of them in the “world’s greatest deliberative body” would not even consider protecting a baby who, far from being in utero, has kicked and screamed its way into the world.

We already have the 2002 Born Alive Infants Protection Act that protects all infants born including those born naturally, by induced labor or althose born during an attempted abortion.

The law :

Defines a "Born alive infant" as "Person, human being, Child, Individual".
Acknowledges human rights of any child born within the United States.

"Born Alive" is defined as the complete expulsion of an infant at any stage of development that has a heartbeat, pulsation of the umbilical cord, breath, or voluntary muscle movement, no matter if the umbilical cord has been cut or if the expulsion of the infant was natural, induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion.

Roe V. Wade didn't decide the reasons for having abortions. Roe V.Wade just made abortions legal.

Roe decided that states could take an interest in abortion at viability.

This debate has gone on since Roe.

Moreover, defense? Stack the courts and legislate from the bench some more.

really? isn't that how we got Roe decision?

A 1973 Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade, legalized abortion by a 7-2 vote Six of the seven justices in the majority were Republican appointees. The only Democrat appointee, Byron White, voted against Roe v. Wade.

It’s the woman’s body, it is her choice.

It's not the woman's body. It's the living body of another human being. Thewoman doesnt sudde lhave two hearts, 4 lungs, or (in the case of a make baby) a dick as well as a vagina.

In the US we have a right to body autonomy

Bodily autonomy means a person has control over who or what uses their body, for what, and for how long.

yep ...point being its a judges decision and therefore times change and judges decisions can change. Law makers are being forced to debate.

The ban is effective at 6 weeks. That's only 2 weeks after a missed period and completely denies the realities of pregnancy for women everywhere.

We live in scary times. Fortunately, the popular opinion is pro-choice and any real incursions to these long fought for civil rights will cause significant backlash and re-solidification of the rights. Any anti-abortion ground gained will be temporary, especially because American Christians will be a substantial minority within one generation. The long-term favors pro-choice.

The radical right is shouting loud because it is their last stand before they fade into history. What concerns me is that great amount of suffering they will cause while they kick and scream as they go down.

Actually,

The development of pregnancy is counted from the first day of the woman's last normal menstrual period (LMP), even though the development of the fetus does not begin until conception, which is about two weeks later.

Pregnancy Week 1 & 2 - 1st and 2nd Week Pregnant

So the day she conceives she is about 2 weeks later. So at 6 weeks it would be time for period if she was not pregnant.

Infanticide/pro-choice. Same/same.

More absolute social conservative agitprop and nonsense. Do you have anything to say that isn't complete garbage?
