President Trump calls media 'hostile,' says of CNN reporter Jim Acosta: 'You are a rude, terrible pe

Funny to see this asswipe trump get riled up over a reporters question...What a useless asshole trump is...Blue State America rejects him
That's nice.

Trumps performance today was that of a mentally delusional notices who lives in their own alternate reality.

He could have been a losing coach talking about his team............ well there are two halves in the game and we did win the first half by three points. We did lose the second half by 30 points but we each won a half and I have always looked at the positives and try not to dwell on the negatives in a game where each team had its moments on top.

I'm listening to the press conference as I type this. I think Acosta earned some ire in that he continued to try asking a follow-up once Trump told him to yield the mike.

While I do believe Acosta should have just allowed the next reporter to ask questions, Trump and his supporters have absolutely NO leg to stand on when it comes to people being rude or terrible. Whenever Trump acts MUCH worse (which is almost every day) his supporters enthuiastically cheer him on.

I dont like how Trump acts towards the media sometimes.

But Acosta is a large male extremity and he baits and deserve everything he gets..... 15 other reporters in there can ask their question without being a jerk. April Ryan same BS... it went from legitimate Media to a Tabloid side show.....

Sad how far we have fallen...

What is sad is how some will brush/shrug off Trump's antics as "oh well... that's Trump" but when the 'liberal media' do something a fraction as rude/terrible then it is an absolute affront to all that is decent.

I feel like Donald Trump calling someone rude is a bit silly, though.

We could also say hypocritical and ironic.

Follow up questions are standard journalism. When the President gives a scripted answer to the first question, or evades answering the question, a follow up is necessary.

We have a president who does not wish to answer legitimate questions. He enjoys the soft arms of Fox and pillow talk with Hannity, and confuses that with actual journalism.
Oh please. I can't think of a president who has been more accessible to the media than Trump has been.

Trump had one press conference his first year in office.

Meanwhile:

Bill Clinton: 11
George H. W. Bush: 27
Ronald Reagan: 6
Jimmy Carter: 22
Gerald Ford (who only served from August to December in his first year as president): 4
Richard Nixon: 6

Well I guess we can drop the veneer of changing the tone. Trump started out with a subdued tone and the media refused to reciprocate. If they are going to be openly hostile to him they have no leg to stand on when they try to put the blame on him for the uncivil climate. They insist on it being that way.

Comparisons abound between U.S. President Donald Trump and President Barack Obama, and as of this month, 45 is beating 44 in at least one statistic: the average number of news conferences.

Though Trump has only given one solo news conference since taking office, as CNN pointed out Monday, data from the American Presidency Project show that he participated in 11 joint press events through Thursday. That gives Trump an average of 2 news conferences per month, compared to Obama's 1.71 monthly average throughout his term

Oh, this is rich.

To pretend that the 'news' (political propaganda media) isn't hostile to Trump, and every non-leftist politician, is just partisan and blind.

Not a big mac fan but I send the food back when its bad. JA is bad bad news....hah

The white house press room may be the dirtiest place to work.
Is there supposed to be a response to anything I said in your post?

Nice how you try to put it into a narrow little box of official press conferences which isn't what I claimed. Trump constantly talks to the media off the cuff. You all know this. Your constantly creating threads quoting the things he says.

The job of a journalist at a Presidential presser is to ask the President a question, and then report his answer.
The presser is a not a debate format for the press.
The president called on Acosta to hear his question.
He did not call on him to spar.
Acosta wanted to tell the president his opinion was wrong, and that the caravan is not as Trump has opined, an invasion.

Acosta was rude, and persisted in his rudeness after being told to sit down and cede the mic.

Trump is back at it, belittling all news outlets, except FOX.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...costa-white-house-news-conference/1920107002/

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump had a number of confrontational exchanges with White House reporters Wednesday during a news conference to discuss the results of Tuesday's election.

Trump refused to answer a follow-up question from CNN reporter Jim Acosta, who persisted in his attempt to ask the president about the Russia investigation into interference in the 2016 presidential election. Trump spoke loudly over Acosta – with whom he has clashed repeatedly – and demanded he hand over the microphone to White House staff.

He was having unhinged triggered meltdowns lol
He must be upset over the dems getting the house, he had no composure, wow i almost feel embarrassed for him

What "antics" did Trump perpetrate with Acosta? He answered his question and firstly, took a question from Acosta, knowing that he'd pull his usual crap.
Just because Acosta didn't like the answer, it didn't give him an excuse to argue with the President. It's not a debate.
Further, Acosta putting a death grip on the microphone and strong arming the young woman whose job it was to take it away and pass it to the next (just as deserving) was inexcusable.

He strong armed her not once, not twice, but three times. He knows he's stronger and like hell if a woman was going to tell him to shut up and let it go.

Very, very telling.

The funny part is when people who actually have journalism backgrounds, such as myself, are told we don't know what we're talking about regarding media issues by the same people you're referring to.
Lol, the funniest are the screaming chihuahua types with at home on the lazy boy studies. They go a little something like this:

'Today I watched a lot of TV. Nothing that was said about X person was to my liking. Thus media bias!'

Or

'Look, world nut daily says X source Is biased! It must be because I watched it and saw things I didn't like!'

These idiots genuinely believe that asking more than 1 question at a press meeting is aggressive behavior - but think that grabbing women by the ***** is just locker room stuff.

Certainly not all, but with Acosta and a few others from CNN, it certainly cannot be denied.

I would not blame the white house if they suspended his press privileges for awhile
