Attorney General Jeff Sessions Submitted His Resignation To Trump

Re: Attorney General Jeff Sessions Resigns from Trump White House

Everybody that has a smart phone has a digital recording device in their pocket. Cohen has no ethical problem recording his clients without their knowledge. Why doesn't he have a recording of such a damning statement. Cohen is a known liar. He now has a grudge against Trump. He released a BS statement right before the election in an attempt to sway the election and damage Trump. Zero credibility and zero evidence equals a big fat juicy nothing burger.

all it is is eye witness testimony from tRump's own personal attorney

other than that, yea, nothing

We have proof that a FISA warrant was filed 4 times to spy on Carter Page . When a phone conversation is recorded and transcribed the other people in the conversation are not identified by name. The Obama team routinely unmasked the people Page was talking too in the campaign even though the government had no right to know their names. The FISA warrant request were predicated on the bogus Trump Russian dossier as the "evidence" of a potential crime. The FBI is require to verify the evidence they use to apply for a FISA warrant. The Dossier was never verified. The FBI knew the dossier was bogus by the time some of the FISA warrants were requested. Carter Page has never been accused of or indicted for even a single crime. Exculpatory evidence was withheld from the FISA judge. Ohr the 4th in command at the DOJ wife worked for Fussion GPS she helped develop the fake dossier. Christopher Steele the Ex MI6 agent that prepared the fake dossier even admitted under oath it was unverified was fired by the FBI. But Steele funneled information to Nellie Ohr and her husband funneled that information to Andrew Wiesman on the Mueller team. There is more. If you view yourself as a libertarian you should be sickened by the corruption in the DOJ and the FBI. Rod Rosenstein has fought for months to avoid congressional oversight. He has tried to avoid the release of the FISA applications on Carter Page. That much we now know for a fact.

This we strongly suspect.

Trump was going to declassify about 20 pages of documents that would shed a lot of light on the corruption. When he said it two foreign governments objected. Why? Probably the two governments are members of the "five eyes" most likely Australia and the UK. They were likely spying on the Trump campaign and passing that information back to our intelligence agencies. Remember Papadopoulos was contacted by the Australian ambassador to the UK and Page was contacted by MI6 and CIA informant Stefan Halper. Trump is going to release the information in question soon.

suspect away

You might want to check our facts.
The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confinned by then-FBI Director James 8. Corney in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:

(i) any links and/or coordination bet ween the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and
(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and
(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).

(c) If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these matters.

the reich wing has propaganda to push. they don't spend their time on meaningless things like facts [/s]

Blah Blah Blah Blah. The fact is what ever Trump does he takes heat for. You wouldn't like him if he cured cancer. The news reported Rosenstein went to talk with Trump immediately after Trump said he would declassify the documents in question so Trump sent them to the IG for an investigation. Trump did say he would not wait long before he made a final decision to declassify or not. I am sure he doesn't want to piss Australia or the UK off but if they were spying on US citizens at our requests the F*** them let the chips fall where they fall. The UK and Australia will get over it.

Are you not disturbed by the prospects of the FBI and DOJ illegally spying on a political campaign? And the US probably asking our allies to spy on US citizens .
you got jokes

Re: Attorney General Jeff Sessions Resigns from Trump White House

Jeff Sessions desperately wanted the job of Attorney General, at one time stating that it had been his 'life's dream' to be the Attorney General. This was Sessions' ultimate goal and the reason he was was a major campaign advisor in Trump's 2016 campaign. Trump stated in a Fox interview that the only reason he nominated Sessions was because Sessions was an original supporter during his presidential campaign. Sessions is no dummy, he's an old hand at this Washington stuff, he wanted that A.G. job and would do anything to get it and anything to keep it.

During his Senate confirmation hearings he denied he had any discussions with representatives of the Russian government. News reports proved that Sessions had spoken twice with Russia's ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Sessions released a statement on March 1, 2017, saying "I never met with any Russian officials to discuss issues of the campaign. I have no idea what this allegation is about. It is false." Upon the revelation that Sessions had met several times with the Russian ambassador, Lindsey Graham called for Sessions to recuse himself from any investigations into the connections between Russia and the Trump campaign. Several Democratic members of Congress called on Sessions to resign his post as United States Attorney General. Representatives Nancy Pelosi and Elijah Cummings and Senator Al Franken accused Sessions of having lied under oath at his confirmation hearing, which he had.

As you can see, Jeff Sessions was asked to recuse himself by a Republican Senator, Lindsey Graham. But his choice was this, either recuse from the Russia investigation and remain as Attorney General, or face charges of lying to the Senate during confirmation and have his dream of being U.S. Attorney General snatched away from him. At that point Jeff Sessions put what was the most important thing to him first, and that was Jefferson Sessions, not Donald Trump.

Great post on Sessions ambitions. Word is Christie is a possible replacement for Sessions. Though unrelated to the topic of this post, he would be a terrible choice. The cannabis legalization in individual States would be under threat. When NJ voters passed the med cannabis ballot Gov Christie did all he could to defy the will of NJ voters and impede the programs initiation.

Re: Attorney General Jeff Sessions Resigns from Trump White House

So glad you think you're untouchable. Good luck with that.

No one is untouchable, as one founding father said..."no man's life, liberty or property is safe as long as Congress is in session".
However, some people know investment law, federal tax codes, and banking regulations....or more accurately, retain attorneys that specialize in each one.

They will have to change Federal law if they want to come after me.
So, yeah, I am pretty safe.
Even then, I have "other" overseas avenues that have paid off and are paying off handsomely.
Smart people hedge their bets.

When Trump declassifies the FISA applications and Ohr's 302 we will see if what we suspect is correct or not.

Oh! Look! The WSJ agrees

Actually, WSJ doesn't. They're saying that Trump should either declassify the FISA applications or STFU. Read the last paragraph.

Re: Attorney General Jeff Sessions Resigns from Trump White House

As is typical, neither do you.

thanks for proving my point otherwise you would have had a response but
since you never respond then well you have nothing.

Oh! Look! The WSJ agrees

someone who wrote an OPINION piece agrees
that OPINION only was exposed to the public via the WSJ
it was NOT a WSJ editorial
not surprised the significance of that difference was lost in your post
