Also, this story did blow up around the world. I don't know where you were when it blew up, but blow up it did. I can only assume you were in the Carribean in May, sitting on a nice beach without access to the news.

You misunderstand. The only thing it would be reasonable to withhold would be the DETAILS about it was found out, in my logical mind. It was CERTAINLY appropriate to tell the Russians we had intelligence that ISIS was developing bombs within laptops. It would have been ridiculous NOT to.

Don't mind if I do. It's one thing to share necessary terrorist alerts with a country. It's quite another to do so for the purpose of bragging while compromising an allied country's intelligence operation, resulting in our largest geopolitical rival sharing that intelligence with the ally's regional foes, like Iran and Syria, thereby causing that ally to stem the sharing of critical intelligence with us in the future.

Israel says it has changed its intelligence-sharing protocols with the United States after President Donald Trump disclosed classified information to Russian diplomats earlier this month that had come from Israel, even though Tel Aviv had not assented to his handing it to another country.

Thank you. You just admitted the entire story is true by attempting to move the goalposts from "the story is fake" to downplaying the significance of the story. By accepting VOA's premise that Israel was forced to change its intelligence sharing protocol in the wake of Trump compromising the Israeli intelligence operation, you acknowledge that everything from start to finish happened as it was reported.

I read the article, it was posted today, Haaretz is the largest news organization in Israel, a very respected source. There was some speculation and leaks about this months ago, but verification about the specifics of the intelligence that was passed on and the specifics of the mission, and that Israeli undercover intelligence agents were still on the ground in "enemy" territory at the time the president told the Russians about it.

Edit: Sorry, Mags, I see others have already mentioned the validity of Haaretz. I should always read the entire thread, dammit! :lol:

That was decided months ago when this story died, only to be brought up again when all of the left's other anti-Trump propaganda failed to produce.
