Why is it that Republicans speak so little of Trump and the Republican Party?

Trump's lawyers are becoming millionaires as they file frivolous appeals to delay the inevitable -- Trump's four criminal trials.

NBC reports, "Former President Donald Trump’s attorneys are asking the judge presiding over his impending criminal trial in New York to delay the trial until after the U.S. Supreme Court issues its ruling on the scope of presidential immunity.

"If granted, the 11th hour long-shot bid would delay the trial, which is scheduled to start March 25.

"Trump is charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records tied to a hush money payment to a porn star toward the end of his 2016 campaign.

As shown, Trump committed these crimes before he became President. His affair with the porn star, Stormy Daniels, took place in 2006.

Trump hopes to become our next President!

The same Trump inherited from his father who gained thanks to government contracts for cheap housing, became a very close friend of the Clintons and even donated to their foundation, supported the Democrats and even provided funds for the campaigns of Kamala Harris and others, and gained thanks to provisions benefiting the rich thanks to his admin and those of Dubya and Obama.

It's alien vs. predator, but at the end of the day, they meet and have a good time, laughing at the expense of the public and in support of those who really rule the country.

Wow! House Republicans are not following Trump's lead. That's a first.

CNN reports, "Former President Trump reversed course and now opposes a ban on social media giant TikTok. But his new stance — and a full-court press from TikTok and its millions of users — isn’t swaying his fellow Republicans on Capitol Hill.

"House GOP leaders are charging ahead with a vote Wednesday on legislation that would ban TikTok from U.S. app stores unless its parent company, China-based ByteDance, agrees to divest the popular video-based video app.

"And even some of Trump’s conservative allies in Congress said they have no problem calling out their party's presumptive nominee for president over his newfound position on TikTok."

Why would they? His views run contrary to views promoted by Republicans and Democrats, i.e., the twin ideologies of neoconservatism and neoliberalism.

"The 118th Congress has been dominated by deep dysfunction and bitter divisions inside the GOP, a number of Republicans are heading for the exits. So far, 23 GOP lawmakers have decided to not seek reelection or resigned early, including five committee chairs.
Ken Buck joins them. He is quitting next week.
CNN continues, "Republican Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado, a hardline conservative who has clashed with his own party at times, announced on Tuesday that he will leave Congress at the end of next week.

"Buck criticized dysfunction on Capitol Hill in discussing his decision to leave, telling CNN’s Dana Bash, “It is the worst year of the nine years and three months that I’ve been in Congress and having talked to former members, it’s the worst year in 40, 50 years to be in Congress. But I’m leaving because I think there’s a job to do out there.”
NPR reports, "The House has voted 749 times this year, but passed just 27 bills that have become law. That makes this Congress the least productive in decades."

In addition, the U.S. House of Representatives operates within a state of chaos.. There was the contentious election of Speaker Kevin McCarthy, then his ouster and then the three-week struggle to select a new speaker in Mike Johnson.

Then there was the expulsion of George Santos and an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. This was followed by the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Meanwhile the House has failed to act on border security, military aid to embattled Ukraine, and military aid to embattled Israel.

But the House did pass a bill banning Tik Tok if it remains under Chinese control.

Conclusion: Republicans can't govern. They can't even talk.

Reuters reports, "A federal judge on Friday denied former U.S. President Donald Trump's request to dismiss a criminal case that charges him with illegally holding onto classified documents after leaving the White House.

"The ruling by U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon in Florida came just hours after a hearing in which his lawyers argued that the central charge in the case is improperly vague.

"Trump, the Republican challenger to President Joe Biden in the November election, has pleaded not guilty to a 40-count indictment that accuses him of illegally taking sensitive government documents with him when he left the White House in 2021.

"It is one of four criminal cases he faces as he tries to win back the White House.

Basically Trump's lawyers were arguing that President Trump didn't know he was breaking the law.

In another court case Trump is charged with paying off a porn star with campaign funds. Make of this what you will, but this case has been delayed.

CNN reports, "The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is willing to delay Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial for up to 30 days, according to a court filing.

"The trial is currently scheduled to start on March 25.

"The potential delay throws the date for what’s supposed to be the former president’s first criminal trial into question, a surprise twist that represents a major boost for Trump – whose defense teams have employed a strategy of consistently trying to delay all of his trials past the election."

There is a silver lining for this. 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, when this trial finally gets underway, it will be a lot closer to the November elections. A guilty plea will mean a lot more then rather then April.

What say you, Republicans?

The Republican National Convention runs from July 15 to July 18. It is entirely possible that the guilty verdict will come soon before, during, or soon after the RNC.

This is what Trump's lawyers wanted?

Why is it that Republicans speak so little of Trump and the Republican Party?

Perhaps it is the shear weariness of perpetually defending the indefensible?

Republicans are pathetic. They can't even "talk."
And they know it. It's why they don't respond. They can't. Here is one of a thousand reasons why.

CNN reports, "The Republican nominee for superintendent overseeing North Carolina’s public schools and its $11 billion budget has a history marked by extreme and controversial comments, including sharing baseless conspiracy theories and frequent calls for the execution of prominent Democrats.

"Michele Morrow, a conservative activist who last week upset the incumbent Superintendent of Public Instruction in North Carolina’s Republican primary, expressed support in 2020 for the televised execution of former President Barack Obama and suggested killing then-President-elect Joe Biden.

"In other comments on social media between 2019 and 2021, Morrow made disturbing suggestions about executing prominent Democrats for treason, including Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton, Sen. Chuck Schumer and other prominent people such as Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates."

How in the hell do you respond to that!

Not once, in the years I have been with this forum, have I seen a Trump Republican explain his/her support for Trump or defend Trump in threads like this one that is critical of him.

Does anyone seriously want Republicans to govern? Only anarchists would want that.
Are we in agreement?

With his gutter talk, Trump doesn't want to be President.

Then we have the impeachment inquiry of our President. Republicans think the President committed "high crimes and misdemeanors" although they can't say what, how, or when.

So, why is it the forum's Republicans haven't said anything about impeaching Biden. That's pretty juicy stuff.

Perhaps, this is why.

NBC reports, "On Capitol Hill Wednesday, there was a hearing to allow the American public to hear firsthand about the ins and outs of the Biden family business deals.

"For Republicans, the hearing was the culmination of a years-long investigation of what they call "influence peddling" and "corruption."

"We have learned that Joe Biden has taken action after action to further his family's plans to get rich. He shows up to meetings, gets on phone calls, shakes hands and tells people to quote "look after my family," said House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky.

Absent from that speech is any proof of a crime or, even, what the crime is.

What is wrong with encouraging family wealth? Is it a crime to show up at meetings? Is it a crime to take phone calls? Is it a crime to shake hands. What is wrong with asking people to take of the family? Fathers do that all the time.

This is the House Oversight Committee Chairman overseeing the impeachment inquiry, and is this the best he can offer?

Republicans were finally able to do something related to governing by passing a funding bill, avoiding a government shutdown, and a brainless Republican from Georgia wants to fire the Republican speaker.

Yes, you read that statement right.

The Post reports, "A 286-to-134 bipartisan vote to approve a $1.2 trillion spending package sent the measure to the Senate on Friday, hours before a midnight deadline to avert a partial government shutdown. The bill would fund roughly three-quarters of the government for the next six months and has the support of President Biden and leaders of both parties in Congress."

NBC reports, "Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday filed a motion to oust Speaker Mike Johnson, doing so just as the House voted to avoid a government shutdown.

"The House left for a two-week recess Friday and won’t consider the motion until after it returns, an official familiar with the process told NBC News."

Republicans are quite comical. They needed help from the Democrats to complete their government task of keeping the government open.

No wonder the forum's Republicans are silent. They are embarrassed. What I don't understand is why Republicans are leading in the polls.
"President Trump famously declared during his 2016 campaign that he loved the “poorly educated” because voters with lower levels of schooling delivered an overwhelming share of votes to him," the conservative Washington Times.
Is the country going to be led by silent, half-educated, uninformed voters from the rural counties of America who are being helped by judges who have delayed all four of Trump's criminal trials. https://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president/

Is the Supreme Court siding with the former President?

Why is CNN wasting so much air time on the legal woes of a rapper? Does anyone over 30 care?

Why in the world am I shaming Trump Republicans to respond?

Republicans, you are going to love this. The Book of Donald.

Patriotic, prayerful and right wing Americans are being offered the chance to purchase – for a mere $59.99 – a Bible endorsed by Donald Trump, in the latest example of the former US president touting wares to the American public.

In a post to his Truth Social platform on Tuesday, the current presumptive Republican nominee and 88-times charged criminal defendant said: “Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible.”

In an accompanying video message, Trump said: “I’m proud to be partnering with my very good friend Lee Greenwood – who doesn’t love his song God Bless the USA? – in connection with promoting the God Bless the USA Bible.”
The Guardian.

He has lost it.

This is the Republican candidate for President, and he is leading in the polls.

A lot of Americans have lost it.

Funny thing, though. Those Americans cheering for Trump do not say a thing.

Insiders have said that Mr. Donald Trump's working on a book titled The Importance of Ethics and Morality in Modern Democratic Societies. Signed [autopen] copies will be available for $1,000.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

The media is telling us that the destruction of the bridge in Baltimore will cause the economy to go south.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average shot up 477.75 points, or 1.22%, to end at 39,760.08.

I have posted a number of positive reports on the resilient Biden economy.

I have asked those who think differently, those giving our President poor marks on the economy (37%), to explain why they think the way they do.

No response.

This thread has been critical of the Republican Party and especially its Presidential candidate. I have asked those who approve of the GOP and its candidate to explain why they think the way they do.

No response.

Conclusion: Those giving our President poor marks on the economy and those who support the Republican Party and its candidate can't think.

It's the only conclusion available.

Or they avoid the reality of this thread, which is the same thing.

"President Trump famously declared during his 2016 campaign that he loved the “poorly educated” because voters with lower levels of schooling delivered an overwhelming share of votes to him," the conservative Washington Times."

P.S. The Dow is soaring, and we have virtual full employment and robust spending.

Trump lawyers argue that even his 'lies' are protected in Georgia case

According to Trump's lawyers, if President Trump lies to the American people, lies to his followers to compel them to do something illegal, lies to the media, and lies to the Georgia secretary of state to "find" over 11,000 votes, that's okay because he is within his First Amendment rights.

Did they say that with a straight face?

They must be being paid a lot of money to say something like that in court and on the media.

No wonder Republicans can't find anything to say. That's astonishing.

The Republican candidate for President is selling bibles for $59.99.

These people want to run the government following the November elections!

The latest CNN poll shows Trump in from, 47% to 44%.

That's amazing.

Where are Trump's followers?

The Post writes, "President Biden on Thursday is visiting New York, where he will be joined at a fundraiser by former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. The Biden campaign says the event will raise $25 million."

There are no Republican Presidents who will campaign with Trump.

But the accused felon is leading in the polls.

Republicans have lost their way.

They can't even talk.

Trump has begun selling $60 Bibles.

Republican state representative in Michigan, Rep. Matt Maddock, claimed on social media on Wednesday night that he had photo evidence of “illegal invaders” arriving at Detroit Metro Airport.

One of the two photos showed an Allegiant Air plane. The other photo showed three buses. Maddock wrote: “Happening right now. Three busses just loaded up with illegal invaders at Detroit Metro. Anyone have any idea where they’re headed with their police escort?”

The only Allegiant Air flight to the airport on Wednesday was a charter flight that carried the team from Gonzaga University, one of four men’s basketball teams competing in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 at Little Caesars Arena arrived at DTW Wednesday evening.

Scan thread. Trump's followrs are unable to speak.

Now imagine Trump as our next President.

The Republican Presidential nominee encourages violence against those he opposes.

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
“When you catch somebody in a fraud, you are allowed to go by very different rules."
“We fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
"Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this, we’re going to walk down, and I’ll be there with you. We are going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country.”
*******************************************************************************************************************************************Donald J. Trump, Jan. 6, 2021

The Independent reports, "Former president Donald Trump is being heavily criticised on social media after he shared a video of Maga-branded pickup trucks that included an image of president Joe Biden kidnapped and bound in the back.

"Mr Trump posted the video with little added commentary on Truth Social. It shows two passing trucks decked out with flags and messages including “Trump 2024”.

Trump is a jerk. He apparently thinks his followers will respond to his threats against his enemies. Will they? They certainly did on Jan. 6, 2021.

We don't know. Trump's followers don't say anything.

Former president Donald Trump shared a video of a Maga-branded pickup truck that included an image of president Joe Biden kidnapped and bound in the back.

Republicans are taking aim at President Joe Biden for proclaiming Easter Sunday as the Transgender Day of Visibility, though the two days only coincided this year by chance.

The Transgender Day of Visibility, which was started in 2009 as a day of awareness is held annually on March 31.

Under Trump's leadership, the Republican Party has completely lost it.

The GOP has become so embarrassing its followers do not say a thing.

The GOP has become so embarrassing its followers do not say a thing.
Our President and the former Republican President and the Republican nominee for President both had Easter messages.

President Biden wrote,“Jill and I send our warmest wishes to Christians around the world celebrating Easter Sunday. Easter reminds us of the power of hope and the promise of Christ’s Resurrection.

“As we gather with loved ones, we remember Jesus’s sacrifice. We pray for one another and cherish the blessing of the dawn of new possibilities,” he continued. “And with wars and conflict taking a toll on innocent lives around the world, we renew our commitment to work for peace, security, and dignity for all people.”

Trump wrote in caps:

“HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING CROOKED AND CORRUPT PROSECUTORS AND JUDGES THAT ARE DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO INTERFERE WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2024, AND PUT ME IN PRISON.

“INCLUDING THOSE MANY PEOPLE THAT I COMPLETELY & TOTALLY DESPISE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO DESTROY AMERICA, A NOW FAILING NATION.”

“HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!”

Who do you want as our next President?

Of course, Republicans are not talking.

The funny part about that is Trump couldn't run on being a victim if the NeverrTrumpers chose to treat him like everyone else.
We might treat him like everyone else if everyone else cheated and lied and refused to accept so many election results as much as he has. People oppose Trump more vigorously than others because he appeals to bigotry, responds to rape allegations with “she’s not my type,” insults vast members of Americans, has a long record of crooked dealings, supports torture and war crimes, and on and on. Find another public figure to match him, and that person will be treated the same.
