I think blocking the Keystone Pipeline on environmental grounds hurts the American people. Increasing the supply of energy in the US hurts the green energy movement which our leaders are heavily invested in. If energy was cheap, there would be no need to invest zillions into compact florescent light bulbs. We all know the old style bulbs are far safer to throw away, but our leaders are heavily invested in the production of them and outlaw the production of the old bulbs. The government invests into producing electric cars, but only the rich can afford them. Not just because they are expensive to buy, but they are expensive to operate. Here in California, it gets hot and we have brown outs because everyone turns on their AC. Then the people here get huge power bills that drive people out of their homes. Energy prices here have drove the price of living through the roof, and now they want us all to plug our cars into the wall as well? This kinda insider politics is killing the American economy.
