Actual Nazis were/are right wing (extreme, though).If you had given a choice like "Roof was inspired by the radical right websites and FOX news" I would have voted for it.

No overall political lean is responsible for this at all, however - the guy made his decisions and ended up where he is.
The problem may be that we ignore this kind of thing until it gets out of hand.
I read somewhere that his roommate knew he was planning something like this, but (I'm assuming) did nothing because he thought it was just insane ranting, or the like.
He was probably like "yeah, sure, whatever (walks away carefully)"
