Point out the part of The Constitution that allows the president to do what he wants, when Congress doesn't let him have his way.
...wow, you really do operate simply out of hatred for Obama..... I wanted to debate the simple aspect of who is stepping up in the current crisis and you seem to want to simply complain about Obama. Your current point is not germane in the least to our discussion/
To bring this full circle, I was pointing out that he was the only government official actually on the job as the US contemplates what to do about ISIS. Congress (who, BTW, we pay over $100M per year in salaries alone) are cowering in their home districts, far from the press that are willing to provide a megaphone for the voice to heard (which they don't want to have happen, because they are cowards) have shirked their responsibilities of leadership.
No where in the Constitution does it give the President power to act as a dictator; on the hand, Congress has the responsibility to declare war. To declare war, they have to debate war... and they have shirked responsibility. When one branch of government choose NOT do their job; its good to know someone is willing to pick up the slack.
That all said, I hate the imperial presidency, but we have allowed it to grow and grow over the past 50 years. No one had a problem with it until now. The reason the Cons have a problem with it now is they know they will be shut out of the White House for at least 20 years....
