I guess we'll never know, as the poster of the OP has apparently fled. :shrug:What would be the point be of mentioning he was Muslim?

I'm conducting a study, I'm going around threads to see if every topic eventually melts down into a conservative/republican vs liberal/democrat debate instead of staying on the topic. This one is one of the few that have not...so far. Let's see how long that last.
Let's see here...the article mentions that his name is Farooque Ahmed, his terrorist group of choice is al-Qaeda, he was discussing "jihad", and he went on the Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia...and you're mad that the article didn't explicitly label him a Muslim?
He is an American.
So mentioning his obviously Muslim name and his connection to a Muslim group, and the fact that he went on the Hajj, one of the tenets of Islam, is somehow perfectly PC, but stating the ridiculously obvious fact that he is, in fact, a Muslim is something you think the MSM believes to be PC?I have no clue what you're talking about. I expressed no anger what so ever about the article or it's contents. That message was a warning to anyone and everyone who might be considering doing something foolish... like, you know... discussing the issue honestly.
Thanks to progressives and their pals in the main stream media, any discussion that might offend is strictly "Verbotenen" in their PC world.
Thus, he is an American. He was actually born in Pakistan and became a naturalized American.
I am curious, did they find a Qu'ran on him? What would be the point be of mentioning he was Muslim?
Thus, he is an American.
Which of the religions I mentioned have repeatedly stated that if you do not follow their religion, you are an infidel and should be killed.
The mans religion certainly does matter in this case.
I know this is a complicated concept, but I think you can get it: Al Qaeda does not speak for Muslims.

Note the conversation going on there that you replied to.
Good question, Pbrauer.
But, on the other hand, why not mention he is a Muslim?
Has there been sufficient Muslim terrorism yet to consider whether or not it might be a trend?

He is still a domestic terrorist suspect, aka an American terrorist suspect. Using this as another attempt to paint a whole religion as a terror religion is pathetic and only plays into the hands of the very people you are fighting against. Best thing to do is ignore his religion and focus on the fact that he is someone from your own country wanting to do harm to it.
Note my lack of making a claim about anything and just the link. :lamo
So, you're intentionally trying to derail a conversation with irrelevant stuff then, ok!
Show me one place in this entire thread preceding this post, where ANYONE said ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS.
I'll voluntarily have myself banned for life from this board.
I'm sick to death of all the liberal weenies that whine, 'Hey, you can't label all muslims as terrorists' every single stinking time someone says the words 'he's Muslim'. Sorry if stating an important factor is too much for your sensitivities dude... get over it.
Wait, so you dont think we understand that some terrorists are muslim and were mentally retarded?
So why were you challenging PeteEU on the point?Yes, a naturalized American Muslim born in Pakistan who was planning jihad against the American people and murdering as many as possible,
Glad we got that straightened out!
So why were you challenging PeteEU on the point?
some terrorists are retarded Muslims? Really?
