I jus don't know what to say about this. I think we're probably all thinking the same thing. However, I would like to know why the hell they wanna build a WW2 museum at UNO. The Libbos need to tell their side of the story, or does New Orleans just need two WW2 museums? I remember about 10 years ago when UNO wanted to evict the Confederate Museum from the Memorial Hall and turn it into an artsy-fartsy picture museum, so the WW2 museusm at UNO surely didn't have anything to do with real history. It was probably going to be The Museum of American War Crimes during WW2.
Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis.
Among the 778 such projects, known as earmarks, packed into the bill: $25 million for a new World War II museum at the University of New Orleans and $20 million to launch an educational institute named after the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat.
