'That sounds like ethnic cleansing': CNN questions lead figure in Israel's settler movement

Ethnic cleansing often fallows sectarian violence.

So where is the US?

Our failure to lead stems from our failure to understand Palestine fell long ago, yet it's people remain homeless.

Palestinian can not exist within the borders of greater Israel. Until we understand that we won't really be able to do much to stop Israel from harming Palestinians.

I know it's ethnic cleansing to move them somewhere else and help them establish the State they desire, but it just is what it is, and moving is better than join Israel or die, which is the choices they have now.

Is Madagascar available?

So where is the US?

This is a conversation the US should have had with itself many years ago.

The settlers know what they want, the IDF protects them and might arrest one or two in a while but the tide when you look at it over the last 20 years is pretty clear and won't stop.

For those who thought that Israeli settlement of Gaza was not the plan. The woman leading the movement says "The Arabs of Gaza lost the right to be in Gaza on the seventh of October."

It wasn't the plan until October 7th... she makes that very clear.

She lacks credibility for that because the video opens by naming 8 illegal Israeli settlements recognized by the Israeli government that the US opposed. Oct. 7 is the excuse used to re-establish settlements in Gaza which was the intent of those Zionist groups mentioned in the video. At the end of the video a man says "Where ever there are Jewish settlements, there is more security." I am skeptical that an Israeli occupation of Gaza will keep Israelis safe from terrorist groups wishing their extinction.

Settler terrorist pogroms against Palestinians were in East Jerusalem and the West Bank prior to that.
Israel needs to remove the Gaza threat.

Who can blame them. 70 years of being invaded and attacked? I can't believe that Israel has been this patient.

They have to try though...

Imagine a gang in The Valley launching rocket attacks into Los Angeles for years... who actually thinks that SWAT teams would not invading the Valley to eliminate that threat, arrest, lock up?

Maybe, but who owns it and what leverage do we have?

The Sinai peninsula is closer and we have leverage over it’s owners.

What is greater Israel?

The US should offer Texas as a homeland for Israel. Cede the state to Israel. Get the Jews completely out of the Middle East and let the Islamic majority have it all to themselves. Texas will have the choice to be ex-pats, apply for dual citizenship, or move elsewhere.

"Israel can have just a wittle bitty ethnic cleansing"
It isn't ethnic cleansing... there are a couple of million Palestinians LIVING IN ISRAEL

Arabs (no exceptions given by the woman in the video) lost the right to live in Gaza after October 7th is what she said. Removing them because of their ethnic character is... what exactly?

Irony.

West bank and east jerusalem isnt hamas.
The settler project of Israel seeks to replace palestinians.

This is a project that has been continuous since before oct 7. They called it “price tag” terrorism.

She is advocating for ethnic cleansing.

She can say what she wants... Being Palestinian is of no consequence.

The fact is they are being removed because of terrorists and because Gaza has always been a terrorist safe haven.

She is advocating for ethnic cleansing.
They are not relocating the 2 million Palestinians living in Israel. They are just taking over Gaza and emptying it of terrorists and terrorist supporters.

She is advocating for ethnic cleansing.
...and she is just a lady. She is not the Israeli government.

And let's assume that's what she's saying.
Who cares? She sets any policy? She was elected into office? Who is she besides a local voice for West Bank settlers, one out of many by the way?
You're basically promoting empty propaganda here.
