Sometimes, the allegations are actually false.
Duke lacrosse case - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not saying anything about whether the allegations in the OP are true or not because I don't know, but there is a purpose for the criminal justice system and allegations does not equal convictions.
What did you misunderstand? Let me clear things up for you. I played ball. I remember the chicks that would want to hang out with the older guys and what they would do for attention.
The difference now and 30 years ago is everyone back then didnt have a camera phone.
How nice of you to label a 14 year old rape victim (allegedly) a slut.
You're a true man of honor.
I can see a lot of arguments about he said she said, but when it is consentual you don't toss the chick out into the snow and cold. She is 13 so you do not want her to talk and you do not want things to be out of the ordinary so you make sure she at least gets to the front door. In the case you drop her back at the friends house she was sleeping at. It shows some form of sadism was part of this that they would put one of them on their front lawn in the snow. Just the fact they did that shows malice of some kind. Think about it if you get a girl bombed to the point she says yes and it is consentual and a pleasant evening and you both were pretty up for it she does not end up on the lawn. She at least ends up in a bed. It was a nice thing and you liked her. Throwing her away like garbage shows the mindset of the guys. They were not trying to be friendly partners.
Not only honor, but one of reality. How nice of you to label a 14 year old rape victim (allegedly) a slut.

Let me ask you a question about that. You did not dump any of them in the lawn on a cold night in the snow, right? That was not even in your plan, right? If it is in your plan yes you are being sadistic and assaulting someone. I know she did not ask to be dumped on her lawn. She was sleeping over a friend's house. If you are wasted you have the guys drop you back at your friend's house. If I am the guy and I have some wasted girl I am at least neutral to I would have brought her to the friends house so they do not get in trouble for being out drinking. Of course this is way back in the day, but still. The only type of girl you would kick out into her lawn like that would be one you wanted to hurt to begin with.
look, there is being a dick by screwing someone and not calling the next day. There is being a dick and telling other people about it, or even using alcohol to make a girl more willing. Those are scumbag moves, but throwing her out in the middle of the lawn is way over the top and no one is signing up for what those girls got. I do not care how cool the guy is, that is not what they want him to do.
Why did you put "allegedly" in this? You've never bothered before. Why pretend, now, that you haven't constantly said the boy's guilty? Are you not so confident in your condemnations any more?
Your insistence on being the most bothersome person in this thread is duly noted.
I have stated all along that what I want is a trial.
That being said - yes, I do think the boy is guilty of something criminal. At the very least he, as a minor, supplied alcohol to another minor.
I also happen to believe OJ Simpson is guilty of at the very least being involved in his ex-wife's murder.
I also think Michael Jackson molested some young boys.
I'm not on a jury. I can have my own opinion.
The boy's damn lucky the girl didn't die of exposure. He could very well have been guilty of some form of homicide.
Again though - for the umpteenth time - what I want is a fair trail without the good-old-boy protections of small town politics and sports being major influences.
And based on what we know, you shouldn't get it.what I want is a fair trail without the good-old-boy protections of small town politics and sports being major influences.

But you are getting a new look at it.
A district attorney in the small town Maryville, Mo., is calling for a special prosecutor to reopen a controversial rape case involving a 14-year-old-girl and a popular football player.
[...]
Rice said Wednesday he's asking for a special prosecutor because of publicity surrounding the case and recent media stories questioning the integrity of the justice system in the county.

They will probably push very hard for at least one of the guys to take a plea to try and settle the mob down.A district attorney in the town is calling for that? How unusual considering the prosecutors are all in on the conspiracy. It won't matter. Anything less than conviction and public hanging will mean they're "in on it".
Was every girl in your high school a charming pricess with the highest of moral standards? The way some of you are behaving in this thread is despicable and some of you - making fun of her, calling her a slut and so on - should be ashamed that you're stooping so low. What's next, a five year old alleged victim of molestation gets run through your twisted ringer and called a whore for putting out to her Daddy?
I think this thread has gone on long enough, now it's down to grotesque jokes at the expense of what should be a serious situation and a demand for investigation into the town's possibly corrupt police department and judicial system.
Was every girl in your high school a charming pricess with the highest of moral standards?
No. You knew the girls in school that put out like a bunny on speed and would do anything for the attention of the jocks.
I knew I was probably never going to play in the NFL, run at an olympic trials. But I damn sure made sure I got my varsity letters.
Why? Cause the chicks dug it.
Never called "every girl a slut". And "chicks" is a common term with no insult attatched. So every girl in high school is what you call "chicks" and "sluts". Got it.
You're pointing out that some girls in school may be aggressive and not pure white fairies, which everyone will admit. However, you're committing the same fallacy you're speaking out against, painting schoolgirls with only one brush.
Also, I am a multi-millionaire so screw anybody who's poor cause they deserve it (parody, sarcasm)
Never called "every girl a slut". And "chicks" is a common term with no insult attatched.
The "school girl" in question went out to gain the attention of the jocks with all the other adoring fans and supporters.
Wanted to get a little higher on the list, so she showed she could "hang with the boys" and got loaded and banged.
Now, while leaving her on the lawn is a little brutal, what did she expect.
What was momma teaching her about respecting herself?
So, do you have any evidence to support your opinion?
Also, if every girl wants to be popular and hang out with boys, they deserve to be raped (shrug)
I totally get it. Boy belongs in jail because nothing ever gets distorted on the Internet. No even need for a trial. I'm curious why you think you have any credibility with me, "Troll Princess"?
Grew up in Florida, no snow.
OK, but would you kick a girl out into the snow after having sex with her in a supposedly consentual manner. BTW we know she was not arguing because she was passed out so it was not like she was being a pain in the ass.
Would "I" kick a girl out in the snow? No. Who said she was arguing?
KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Reuters) - A Missouri prosecutor, who dropped a case against a high school football player accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, asked for an independent review of the case on Wednesday to determine if charges should be refiled.
Nodaway County Prosecutor Bob Rice had said the case stemming from a January 2012 party in Maryville, Missouri, was dropped because there was not enough evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Rice said he decided to seek another review after seeing a CNN television interview Tuesday with four witnesses who said they were willing to cooperate and testify in the case. Rice said those witnesses had not agreed to cooperate before.
"I have asked the court to appoint a special prosecuting attorney to conduct an independent review of the facts and determine whether to refile charges," Rice told a news conference.
