Agree? Disagree?
I know is already too radical of a social conservative to pick up swingers.
I think that something big and bad will happen in the Middle East, that it will hurt Obama's chances a lot. So no, I see it helping Santorum a big deal, because of his knowledge about the Middle East.
and as far as I know is already too radical of a social conservative to pick up swingers.
I think Santorum is more likely to beat Obama than Romney is. Obama biggest weakness is Obamacare, and Romney has no rational argument against it. Plus, the idea that Romney is a stronger general election candidate than Santorum is nonsense. No one is excited over the prospects of a Romney presidency. No one.
The only ones eager to see Romney as the nominee is Obama and Obama fans who see Romney as everything they want to run against. Santorum will give Obama fits. Although I give Obama the edge, anyone who thinks the race is over if Santorum wins will be in for a big disappointment.

I agree, that is his weakness. If he spends the campaign talking about gays and marriage, I might even vote for Obama. The thing that kills Santorum in the general election is his views on social issues. While they help him with the GOP base, it hurts him with the rest of the country.

And I think he's stupid enough to do that.
As opposed to Romney who doesnt excite the far right, but the moderates, independents, and swing voters are going to rally behind him? Thats what they said about president McCain.Santorum isn't popular enough to even hold an elected office on a state level at this point.
He scares the reasonably sane voter.
He might excite the far right, but the moderates, independents, and swing voters are NOT going to rally behind him.

For the record, I am no particular fan of Santorum. I am a libertarian and an atheist, so his religious bigotry is a bit repulsive. That said, I still find left-wing secularists like Obama a greater threat to my liberty than right wingers like Santorum.Romney may not excite, but at the very least he doesn't frighten. At least not on the same level as Santorum does.
Santorum is the male version of Bachmann. They have their fringe group of supporters, but on a larger scale they scare the fvck out of people.
This. Libs/Dems want Santorum to win nomination.
If he does, who might he pick as his VP? That could be fun too. Bachmann? :lamo

Your argument is non-sense.
Again, I know many moderates who would support ONLY him over Obama, because he is for liberty, and Obama is for Tyranny.
