I hate to rain on your Harley parade, Sir, but they have not had a credible racing victory since the 1960's. I'm sorry to say that Harley-Davidson bikes are a triumph of style over content. True, they were good in their heyday (about 50 years ago) but times have changed and motorbike technology has improved radically since then. Not that Harley Davidson seems to have noticed. They are overpriced, overweight and still overrated.
Now, that said, there's nothing wrong with owning a Harley. To each their own and if that's what you enjoy, then by all means buy as many Harley's as you can afford. Harley has stumbled on a business model that works for them and certain bikes are even beautiful and I'd almost venture to call them works of art, but let's not confuse that big, heavy piece of rolling chrome with the true technical advancements that are being made by other manufacturers.
Now, let's get back on topic, shall we?
