Religious test for nominations?

Only thing I care about is whether or not the guy is qualified for the position.

I couldn't care less about his religious beliefs.

Really? So if he attended a Christian Identity Church you'd have no problem? If he attended a church when the preacher screamed, "God Damn America," you'd have no problem? I don't think there should be a litmus test that would prevent a Muslim or a Jew from being a judge but there are elements of religion that could effect their suitability as a judge. I can remember some questioning John Kennedy's fitness because he was a Catholic.

No. As long as he doesn't let his religous beliefs interfere with his job, I couldn't really give a damn what he believes in.
