The video link? The link didn't work too well for me,
The link didn't work too well for me, but I am sympathetic to Wilson.
If it's true that he just asked Brown to walk on the sidewalk instead of in the street, it seems Brown was acting as he was acting inside the convenience store.
Yes, it's too bad Brown was not simply incapacitated, but doo-doo happens when guns are involved.
Having lived, worked, and gone to school with blacks, and I even have some at my family reunion, to me it was obvious by looking at his graduation picture this was a black man with a bad attitude that was headed for serious trouble. After seeing the video in the convenience store that just backed it up. He would have eventually ended up in our prison system if he had not been killed.
I have no sympathy for the 6 foot 9 350 pound bully that got his way by being aggressive. Seems to me he picked the wrong man to be aggressive with.

You know, I understand you're referring to Officer Wilson, but in reality, the wrong person to be aggressive with was the store clerk.
Wilson just drew the fate straw and the rest played itself out the way Brown chose to handle it.
I really have no sympathy for either of them.
I don't understand your statement. Why is it a good idea to be aggressive with a police officer especially if he has a gun?
Well, of course it's not. However, Brown stole the cigars and "got aggressive" (assaulted) with the store clerk first. That aggression (and theft) was called in to the police, and in the end resulted in Wilson's interaction with Brown.
So, had Brown not chosen to steal and be aggressive with the store clerk, he never would have met Officer Wilson.
Can you provide a link? I saw a report that said the officer didn't know about the store altercation.
Really? After all the press, and all the articles, and the links to Grand Jury testimony, you want a link to news that's been known for a long time?
No disrespect intended, but if you're not that up to speed, why are you asking questions?
O
No need to be an ahole about it. I specifically recall reports like the following one by the police chief that officer Wilson did not know about the robbery. So did that change? And yes after a while when the media reports on this ad nauseum for months on end I got sick of it except to hear of the indictment verdict.
Ferguson chief: Officer didn't know about robbery

While I am fine with his actions, his smartest move right now would be to STFU.[/QUOTE]
May I ask why? He has a right to defend himself.

Because it stokes the fire, as the riots have shown - facts be damned, and further endangers Wilson's life. The fact that his general address and new wife info has been provided by careless journalism does not help.
Defense can come later. He's cleared at the state level no need to jeapordize his freedom or safety this soon after.
That's my interpretation of SMTA's comment.

In no way was the publishing of his home journalism at all...It was intentionally done by a liberal progressive with an agenda.

I don't disagree.
Discretion is the better part of valor.
The folks in Ferguson don't care, and it serves no value now.
The GJ decision to return a No Bill has already exonerated him, so he has no reason to defend his actions.
Silence is golden.

Well said - thank you.

Good morning, SMTA. :2wave:
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from my house! :2dance: Enjoy the day!

I'm sorry, as I wrote, I had no intent to be disrespectful. Obviously you missed that. It has been presented a thousand times, including in the statement of the DA when the GJ decision was announced, that Officer Wilson called for backup after his initial stop when he observed the cigars in Brown's hand, and his perfect match to the broadcast description of the assaulter who committed strong arm robbery at the market.
It just seems rather remarkable that someone who apparently has paid no attention to the case would question anything about it.

I guess it is a personal and personality decision. Myself I would be in their faces saying what I think of people who think a cop should not shoot a man who attacks him and tries to take his gun. I tend to have a confrontational attitude though which is reflected in my name I guess which was given to me early in life as my character rapidly developed.I don't disagree.
