i been researching nutrition since mid 90s and don't need lessons from random people on the internet.
i avoid the carb sources i mentioned because they spike insulin which leads to diabetes and heart disease. also through building up insulin resistnace they make the body less efficient.
now mayo or sour cream doesn't have those drawbacks but its still relatively empty calories and extremely energy-dense foods. i don't need that garbage in my body thank you very much.
with carbs its not only the amount, but the speed of release that matters. i avoid all high-glycemic carbs like soda but don't mind the low-glycemic carbs like salad.
