Hi all
Simple question here: do you pay cash or with your card?
I would say that paying with a card is quite dangerous in terms of privacy - the bank knows all your moves and habits, what you buy, where you go and when you go. I'm not comfortable with that to say the least.
So, what do you think? :wink2:
I think you're being seriously paranoid for little to no reason.
Are you a convicted felon? On a government watch list for some reason?
I never carry cash. Cash is dangerous. Get's you mugged.
I don't do anything wrong, I'm not a "special person of interest", and if some entity wants to track me they're going to do that no matter what I use, do, purchase, or try to hide.
I'm not paranoid enough to think "they're out to get me". I don't wear tin-foil hats to protect myself.
Once had a credit card stolen and about 850 dollars spent on it by thief. Bank covered losses and replaced money in my account.
What do you think the bank would say if I walked in and told them somebody stole 850 in cash from me? Would the bank replace that cash?
I doubt it.
Cash is a pain in the butt. It's going to go away over time. It's not safe to carry and or use/display.
I'm all for using technology to my benefit. A card allows me to track all my purchases and see where my money goes.
If some government/bank/alien wants to see how many times I buy gasoline, go to grocery store, or buy beer I don't give a crap.
Now if I was buying massive quantities of ammunition and pseudo-assault rifle stuff I might be more paranoid.
Are you sure you're not doing something you shouldn't be doing? :2razz:
