Surprisingly, I think I may side with the officer on this one. Disagreeing with the officer is not cause to resist arrest, odds are it will only elevate the situation. Like what happened in this case. The dash cam clearly shows the officer tried to get her to comply with minimal force, she continued to try to pull out of it, and I'm not surprised she was eventually put on the ground to give the officer a better condition to secure the arrest. Her being knocked out does not look like the intention.

As a grappler I can tell you...slams and trips and takedowns can injure someone more than a punch. And on accident. I've had surgery for one such takedown.
Oh hell no!
If I was that cop I'd have sung lullabies to her and braided her hair until she fell asleep THEN would have taken her into custody.
I've dented the hoods of a few cars with the foreheads of drunks. Sometimes you have to take a more assertive approach to get the idiot to shut up and start paying attention.
Those are clearly the only two choices ... brute force or patty-cake.
Hysterical extremism is the trademark of many who try to claim that women and liberals are sooo emotional.

That looked completely disproportionate to the resistance she was giving.
Absolutely not. With that feeble a level of squirming from someone that wasted, I probably could have gotten her in cuffs myself and I'm smaller than she is. There was absolutely no reason to throw her on the ground, and even if there was, that is not how you go about it. You don't literally toss people head-first into the floor. The goal of a take-down is to make restraint easier, and thus the cop follows them down to soften their blow and also to keep both hands firmly on them. He just sort of tossed her. Seems the only goal was to wave his dick.
People can die from head injuries like that and he needs to be charged with reckless endangerment at a minimum.
I do not deny the probability of danger, just saying it looks like the intention was to ensure an arrest. If he *wanted* to hurt her there are dozens of take-downs expressly designed to use the force of the fall against the opponent. As a grappler, you should know that.

its funny that police cannot take a little more time with a citizen drunk or not to get them to comply and also use the same force they would use on a man..Oh hell no!

I made this thread.. I am very disturbed by the fact that people feel the police always have to use brute force to handle a citizen and be justified..also they are not smart enough to use their brains instead of their muscle..and on a woman too.....sad..i am a property manager I better not look crooked at one of my tenants and I own the dam property...I would never do a woman like that drunk or not..black or white
They can take as much time as they want but, generally speaking, the more you let the suspect do what they want the more dangerous the situation gets for you. That's especially true with intoxicated detainees.
Then go apply at your local police force and show them how it's done
