But what is disturbing is Obama's desk. Doesn't Obama do any thing as POTUS ? I've never seen such a clean desk. Not even a pencil and a pad of paper to doodle on.

I knew there would be some who would start posting "cherry pickin" photos of Reagan and Bush.

But the photo I posted was legit. Right after the White House released this photo yesterday afternoon, I heard a number of individuals mostly on radio commenting on how Obama didn't look to concerned leaning back and legs crossed right after the bombing in Boston.

When I finally saw the photo after it was posted on the Politico I noticed the clean desk, not even a pencil or pen in sight. I can picture a clean desk at the beginning of the day or at the end of the day when there was no more matters to deal with. I did look closely for Obama's teleprompter.

It was just probably another Obama photo op.

Has anyone noticed that after Obama got reelected there haven't been any more photo ops with the troops ? That's all they ever were.

So you cherry picked a photo but did not want any one else to do it. Reminds me of the photo of Obama checking out some woman's ass, except on video it was clear he was just turning his head.

This has to be the stupidest thread in some time...

Those people, back then, were the freedom fighters against the USSR in Afghanistan. The fact that some of them later on became islamist extremists and talibans is another issue. The muhajadin that were fighting against the USSR were fighting to keep communism out. That means fighting for freedom.

That's what I've read. So this photo is a hoax, a misleading staged photo op.

What the photo actually shows that it's true that Obama has surrounded himself with second rate people. That the majority working in the White House never had a real job in the private sector and are clueless what a real office where business is conducted looks like.

You would expect when they were going to take this photo for what ever purpose, that Obama's gofer would have put some papers on the desk, at least a fountain pen. A map of the city of Boston laid out on top of the desk would have sent out a message. Maps have always been associated with competent commanders.

This was a staged photo and I can't figure out the PR behind the White House releasing this photo except maybe to show that Obama wasn't playing golf after the bombings.

It was the only photo that the White House released yesterday. I only had one photo to use so no "cherry picking" was done.
