This is not true.
I was definitely not "indoctrinated" as you say. Living in a very religious, very tight-knit community I was brainwashed with extremely conservative ideals. I was forced to be religious, even though I did not want to. I was fed very narrow-minded views on sexuality, family, and just life in general.
It was only after I graduate Magna Cum Laude, after joining the Army in 2003, after traveling the world in all 7 continents, only then did my world open up, only then had I found myself. After these amazing experiences I don't consider myself a liberal for political reasons, I say that I am a liberal person, I am an open-minded, educated person, who refuses to be tied down with controlling ideals. I died graciously on the battlefield in 2007, with a note in my hand that said ... "true happiness is found in the liberal mind."
See? I can make up some bullsh*t too.
