Twin Peaks

Those psychopaths came to power because of conservative politics.

.

actually conservative politics would be 100% opposed to centralized power. Ever get anything right?

Yeah, that worked beautifully in the 19th century.
exactly which is why it was the period of greatest economic growth in human history. You had for example JohnRockefeller who sold kerosene for 2 cents a gallon so everyone could afford light for the first time in human history. Isn't learning fun?

His solution to the issue is a rather exotic blending of economic theories that would produce a society where the line between worker, owner, and investor blurs to a large degree. It's more than a little idealistic, but his comments on democracy and the market are worth hearing. He speaks in English, not Greek.

That still does not tell me what he is proposing.

I am guessing it has something to do with bigger government and more control over people's lives.

If it does, I am against it.

No one argues the efficiency of the capitalist system. Even Marx acknowledged this.

You said, "corporations are kept in check by customers." The evidence of the 19th century says that is not so. Corporations kept customers in the dark about how unsanitary their food was. Monopolies formed so that prices skyrocketed and customers had no choice but to go to that seller. The corporations were so powerful that they regularly influenced government policy, and continue to do so to this day.

You had for example JohnRockefeller who sold kerosene for 2 cents a gallon so everyone could afford light for the first time in human history.

Oh yeah, Rockefeller was quite the charitable businessman.

And what did he do once his competitors went out of business?

That is not true at all. Conservative and liberal politics are not as simplistic as you are trying to make it.

By definition, conservatism is an ideology that seeks to preserve traditions. There have been conservatives throughout history who sought to centralize power, even in the modern day.

For example, the leader of the Serbian Radical Party (an very conservative organization) wants to consolidate several nations into one nation.

employees are free to peacefully buy all the stock they want!! A liberal though will want to get there from here at the point of a gun. LIberalism is based in pure violence.

I thought we were all whiny ******s not willing to DFEND MURCA because we're in our safe spaces

They are. Thats why they use the force of government instead. Cant muster the courage to do it themselves. Its also why they dont like us having arms.

can you put that in better English??

dear, monarchy was a tradition at one time and so were 1000 other crazyliberal ideologies. Conservatism is intellectual. It examines historys and seek to preserve only the best of history, obviously. Wheras liberals like HItler Stalin and Mao scrap history and instantly move forward to perfect the world immediately. Now you've got your ABC's !

The evidence of the 19th century says that is not so. Corporations kept customers in the dark

how utterly absurd and liberal!! corporations are our slaves, they have no power to keep customers in the dark. If they don't provide light for customers, customers are 100% free not to buy from them and instantly bankrupt them. 1+1=2

Those two[capitaism and democracy] are ideologically and diametrically opposed.

actually they are identical. Democracy gives the people control of the govt and capitalism gives them control of business, which they harshly use to bankrupt 10,000 companies each month in the USA.

The corporations were so powerful that they regularly influenced government policy, and continue to do so to this day.

well since corporations provide the jobs and products that make us the richest humans being in all of history it only stands to reason they would influence govt policy. Would you want the Girl Scouts to influence govt policy? The New York Yankees? The Auduban Society??

Yeah yeah, all laws are violence, blah blah.

yes all laws represent govt violence and liberals want more and more govt violence in all aspects of our lives. This is the exact opposite of the basic principle of America. Now you know why liberals spied for Stalin and voted for Sanders after he honeymooned in the USSR.

Democracy doesnt give 'them' control of govt. At best it gives a majority control. Where capitalism gives the individual control. Capitalism is not just a market ideology. We dont have capitalism in the US.

Regardless if capitalism did cause companies to go bankrupt its because they we're uncompetitive and were surpassed by better companies that offer a better product or service.

My name isn't "Dear."

monarchy was a tradition at one time and so were 1000 other crazyliberal ideologies.

"Monarchy is a liberal ideology." Yeah, okay, you are very quickly discrediting yourself.

how utterly absurd and liberal!! corporations are our slaves,

Considering the reality that the US is an oligarchy, corporations are nowhere close to being "our slaves."

they have no power to keep customers in the dark.

You never heard of Volkswagen, have you?

If they don't provide light for customers, customers are 100% free not to buy from them and instantly bankrupt them.

That cannot exactly work if customers don't have the information.

well since corporations provide the jobs and products that make us the richest humans being in all of history it only stands to reason they would influence govt policy.

So now instead of denying their influence on government you are justifying that influence. You aren't exactly making a strong case for your side.

Corporations provide the jobs, but the People provide the labor (conservatives conveniently forget this part of the relationship). Without the People, there are no billions to be had.

Would you want the Girl Scouts to influence govt policy? The New York Yankees? The Auduban Society??

The People should influence government policy, not corporate entities who seek profit and privilege at the cost of the taxpayer.

Those psychopaths came to power because of conservative politics.

Hitler: WWI happens because of militaristic buildup led by a bunch of conservative morons. Everyone is at fault, yet Germany is blamed and saddled with the debt. Enter Adolf and the Nazis.

Stalin: The ultra-conservative policies of Czar Nicholas II isolated the crown from the Russian people. Enter the Bolshevik Revolution.

Mao: The conservative and corrupt Chiang Kai-Shek led purges against opponents and stamped out freedom of speech, fueling the communist sentiment in China.

You have, shall we say, an interesting take on history.

So now instead of denying their influence on government you are justifying that influence. You aren't exactly making a strong case for your side.
corporations have influence, they provide our jobs and the products that got us out of the stone age. Would you rather have the Girl Scouts have influence or the Auduban society? Isn't thinking fun?

Corporations provide the jobs, but the People provide the labor (conservatives conveniently forget this part of the relationship). .

if one conservative ever said that people don't provide labor I'll pay you $10,000. Bet? Do you have any idea what you are trying to say?You have to get past deadly outdated Marxist brainwashing and think on our own

Without the People, there are no billions to be had.
.

Did one person on earth ever disagree??? Who tricked you into saying 100% worthless things and thinking they were profound?
