Putin Led a Complex Cyberattack Scheme to Aid Trump, Report Finds

Why not...you seem to be an expert on US hacking other countries and influencing elections.

If the CIA is disseminating hacked info to Russian media sources, they aren't personally informing me about it, even though I realllly wish they would.

Well...if the Russians can openly influence our elections, then it's safe to say they can do it to Europe and all our other allies, too. The question is, do we have the capability and political will to stop them?

How did Russia influence our election? Please tell me Moot.

I'm considered a Right Wing 'Publican on this board, and I've stated endless times that I believe we were misled into war. I've also said that Bush/Cheney should be brought up on war crimes.

Thats good...except I didn't ask you. ;) But since you mentioned it...what political lean do you consider yourself?

Conservative on some issues, liberal on others. Not libertarian though.

The U.S doesn't even have to hack elections from afar. We'll come straight in your country, topple the government, and then continue the destabilize the country.

We might also put in place someone on the guard of your leaders security to assassinate him and then after our hand picked replacement is everything we hate we might just bomb the **** out of your nation and kill the guy we put in place.

Btw, that actually happened.

Not many right-libertarians are in agreement with modern liberals on much of anything really.

Putin is reinitiating the Cold War? I think we've known his intentions were bad for over a decade. I'm just skeptical about the full MSM push to ignite hostility amongst Americans, as soon as a particular candidate lost.

The OP stated that Russia's hacking didn't change the results of the election. So whether its fake news, or hacking, what is the MSM trying to get us to do here?

In 2006, the scare tactics that they used was to promote the end of the world through Global Warming. We needed to elect candidates that would tackle this problem, or else.

Now that the House, Senate, and White House have a big fat R on them, we're being bombarded with fear propaganda about Russia. That was Joe McCarthy's bag at one time, remember?

What I see is the recognition of the news media that Putin has installed and is acting upon rules of engagement that are equivalent to low level war. It is important to realize that the doctrine under which he is acting allows non military and military options adapted to the circumstances. The latter happened in Georgia, Transnistria, Crimea and in Syria. It is not a repetition of the Cold War, however. That would underestimate the dangers we are facing in the multipolar system of international powers now developing.

So you don't buy the intelligence agencies' explanation that to show the proof you require is to show the Russians our specific methods of intelligence gathering, with which knowledge they may determine how to improve their security against our reach of intelligence gathering?

No I don't. I did not believe their fear-mongering about Iraq's capabilities, and it turned out I was right.

I don't believe their proofless assertions today either, clearly political theater meant to inflame the brainwashed masses. The 'argument' that the proof would expose our "methods of intelligence gathering" is pure theater also, nonsense.
