That is 100% BS, and completely unconstitutional. It violates the law, and thus the constitutional right of equal protection, that should be grounds for impeachment. Just because the current president does not LIKE a law, gives them NO rights to not enforce it.

Suppose we get an "anti-tax" president, can they decide to tell IRS NOT to audit any tax return having an AGI above $200K? Are you "down with that" executive privilege too? Suppose we get a president that does not like "food stamps", can they tell USDA to not give them to anyone under the age of 35?

We still have laws and a congress to change them, it is NOT up to the executive branch to decide which laws, and to what extent, that they will, or will not, CHOOSE to enforce. Obama should be impeached, as he publically challenges congress to "make my day".

Interestingly enough, I've predict republicans will probably go the impeachment route if Obama takes a second term. This may be one of the charges.

Just as liberals support election fraud by denying that it exists (as long as they KNOW it helps them). This is VOTE buying, pure and simple. Why have a "dream act" when the "new Obama deal" is so CLEAR? Obama saw the MANDATE of the hispanic vote (he got 67% in 2008) and uses this "magic Obama power" as way to LOCK-IN that vote, by passing the major provisions of the "dream act" using a single "executive order" in a campaign speach. Yes he did!

Congress writes the laws and the executive branch NOW reviews them, enforcing those that they like, ignoring those that they do not like. Obama is that kind of guy. He is historic! Yes he did!
 
Earlier today I heard Romney was going to send a thank you letter to President Obama for handing the presidency over with a big red bow on it.

They have elections in Russia too, but that does not make it a democracy. A dictator's first action is ALWAYS to ignore the law, after that the rest gets much easier. Dictators, like Hitler, were elected too.

Right. Every dictator puts on sham elections as a fig leaf. I recall that the North Korean dictator Kim Il Sung once got 106% of the vote. (With math skills like that, it's no wonder their bombs fizzle.) The standing joke during the Cold War was that the mantra of the Marxist "liberation" movements was "One man, one vote, one time."
 
my only criticism is that this should have been done much sooner.

Will since President Obama's father was a muslim, then I would guess he gave him his muslim name and was pleased. Evidently his mother had no problem with the name either and could have changed it, since the President's father left her and him.

I don't really see any problem with the "name play" from people on the board who use his full name. It is his name, yes?

My problem is that I'm sure you weren't upset when the Libbys called President Bush "Dubya" (among other names), where you?

And why drag Christians into the scenerio? Why play the "bigotry and racism" card?

I would prefer this:

1) Congress gets it's head out of its ass
2) In one fell swoop - amend the 14th to end anchor-babies and new illegal rootings (with children) and clearly state what our national stance *is* towards illegals - and their children. . . .pass that. I can draw a line - "if you were born here or brought here before XX age you can stay . . . no more - cut off date XX - after that; anyone brought in *is out*

We keep having this waffling of **** back and forth because as a nation we can't make up our damned minds . . .and our president loves the EO more than life itself.

Here are the guidelines..
Under the executive order, individuals need to be at least sixteen years old and no older than thirty to be eligible for the deferred action policy. They need to have been brought to the United States before they turned sixteen and need to have resided in the country for at least five continuous years before their application. They also need to be currently in school, or to have graduated from high school or gotten a G.E.D., or have been honorably discharged from the military.

Individuals will be ineligible if they have been convicted of a felony offense, a significant misdemeanor, or multiple minor misdemeanors, or pose some other threat to national security.
