To White Apologists/Liberals, Can you explain why Asians do so well?

You don't think that's at least slightly an oversimplification?

Perhaps, but this wasn't mean to be a doctoral symposium. The OP meant to highlight how other minorities, even amidst challenges, have managed to do well for their kin.

No, that was presented only as evidence in order to make the OP's actual thesis: that liberals have a "confirmation bias" regarding race-related issues generally (opening paragraph); and that the "true" racists are such liberals (conclusion).

Agree or disagree with the thesis...that was it, assuming the poster meant what he or she wrote. The relative success of "Asians" is there only as part of that larger argument (liberal bias and racism), which was the entire point.

My point was both. I asked a question about liberals and high levels of confirmation bias when it comes to race and brought up Asians as an example of how you can't uniformly apply racial undertones to all minorities, underscoring the fact that the system is not as broken for minorities as many liberals make it out to be.

My underlying point is what Greyhat stated, that this notion of "racism" often stems from reality. African Americans commit a disproportionate amount of crimes, which is why they feel profiled. I would argue that a white or Asian person dressed a certain way walking into a luxury goods store would be treated the same way--they aren't treated this way based on race, which is what the left simplifies it down to, but rather on the "look" of someone who is more likely to commit a crime. I see it as common sense; you are not going to walk down a decrepit old street in the ghetto at night in the dark but you would walk down rich white suburbia. It is not "racism" that is driving your actions but simple common sense and a perfunctory grasp of crime statistics.
