I've been followed by people "checking me out" many times. I've also been jumped and beaten just because I was where I was. If I think someone might be following me with bad intentions I deal with it in whatever way is prudent and available to me at the time. Sometimes it has been a matter of just hustling to my vehicle, sometimes it's been ducking into a business, sometimes it's just been a matter of keeping on moving. With regard to the two times I KNOW someone had bad intentions in one case I just laughed at him and he took off. In the other case I didn't even really know I was being followed until I got jumped. That ended in a fight and to this day I'm not 100% sure what happened. I ended up with a lump on my head and a bunch of blood but nobody found any cuts so I figure it must have been his blood. At any rate he didn't get my wallet or anything so he seems to have either accomplished what he wanted to or decided to find someone else.

The fact of the matter is that in this country race based violence is pretty doggone rare. It happens from time to time but it's just not a primary factor in most violent crimes.

It used to be rare but it seems like ever since the verdict every few hours I hear of another white person getting beat down or killed by random black teenagers using "justice for trayvon" as an excuse. It is only a matter of time before one of these victims has a gun and shoots one of his attackers then we will be right back at the beginning with another zimmerman/trayvon type trial.
