DOJ solicits email tips in Zimmerman civil rights probe

What does it have to do with you personally? The DOJ is doing what the people have asked them to do....
because if the DOJ can do this to one he can do it to all. what if I start a petition to have you perma banned from these forums even if you did not violated any rules im sure i would get enough for the moderator to take notice and ban you because that is what the people want. would that sound fair. i guess you thought lynching was fine because that is what the people wanted. we are a nation of laws not mob rule

No they can't charge him with murder, but they can charge him with a hate crime, but I find that unlikely.

What hate crime? He was found innocent of murder...that is the only crime he could have been found guilty on.

The only precedent that would be established there is that it is a hate crime for a "white" man to kill a black man self defense.

Really?
You don't understand that it can't be let go when it is being constantly shoved down our throats?
You don't understand that?
You don't understand that it is an injustice which they are contemplating doing?

No, not at all....There is a petition with over a million signatures already, asking the DOJ to investigate this case.....
It is ****ing appalling.
The petition is appalling.

Yeah. That's why I wrote, "I find that unlikely." :yt

I think that you are just blowing something way out of proportion. I saw Jeffrey Toobin on CNN (legal analyst.) and he said that the civil case doesn't have a very good chance. I tend to agree, but if people want to investigate to see if there is enough evidence, I see nothing wrong with it.

The FBI investigated and said there's nothing there !!!

The FBI investigated and said there's nothing there !!!
I guess that there's a chance that the Justice Department is going to do it too; however, I think that they are wasting their time.

The only people who believe such nonsense like you just posted are the brainwashed drones who still worship at the alter of Obama

The IRS targeted and intimidated Americans for their beliefs. They admitted it. We all know with who you stand. With the Gestapo and Police State.

Shame on you. You're not an American.

Really? They admitted looking into certain groups, but-they all got the tax status that they asked for...How is that intimidation? Aren't we overreacting just a bit here?

It's mob rule? It's under investigation right now only. No one has the right to investigate to see if it's a case?
Did they investigate civil rights violations for OJ?

Wow. Over one million incredibly stupid people. They do realise this was already investigated, right? No evidence was found on racial grounds or for civil rights violations. This is a waste of taxpayer money.

It was "looked into", but not investigated the way the people want it investigated...... The stupid people are those that think this issue is over....

we are a nation with a system of justice with judges and juries not mob rule. we don't indite someone because the mob wants it to be done we don't flind someone guilty under the threat of civil unrest

I really don't think that an ongoing investigation by the DOJ constitutes "mob rule". I believe that most of the protests throughout the country have been peaceful.....There is no threat of civil unrest.....

No. I'm pretty sure they didn't. But I thought he was guilty.
I'm pretty sure they didn't, either. Which makes me wonder out loud if they didn't for OJ, why in the hell are they considering it for Zimmerman?

Where the hell do you see "mob rule"? Lynching was an abomination just like your defense of this Zimmerman character who is a liar, killer and coward......

In your opinion it may seem like an injustice--it may appear appalling.... In my opinion, Zimmerman got away with murder and THAT is an injustice and is appalling.....f###ing appalling.......

Your opinion.....
:doh:doh:doh
:lamo

You seem not to understand that my opinion is based on the known evidence and facts, while your opinion is not, but is instead based on a lack of critical thinking and emotion.

Clearly making what you say wrong, as it flies in the face of the facts and evidence.

So again ... Wrong!

Deal with it!

This is disgusting.

I think I shall write a well worded chastisement of their department and send it to that email.

Then I'll gather a large group of tyrannical government quotes from old founding fathers and such and send another email

Or maybe I'll just talk about it but not.

Not investigated the way they wanted? You have got to be kidding. You mean you want a witch hunt until you find something, anything you can trump up as some kind of civil rights case. Unfortunately for people who want this stupidity there is no civil rights violation.

DOJ solicits email tips in Zimmerman civil rights probe

By Scott Powers Orlando Sentinel

12:00 p.m. EDT, July 16, 2013

The U.S. Department of Justice on Monday afternoon appealed to civil rights groups and community leaders, nationally and in Sanford, for help investigating whether a federal criminal case might be brought against George Zimmerman for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, one advocate said.

The DOJ has also set up a public email address to take in tips on its civil rights investigation.

Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law – who earlier in the day joined calls for federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman, said that later in the afternoon, she joined a U.S. Department of Justice conference call to discuss the prospects.

“They were calling on us to actively refer anyone who had any information,” that might build a case against Zimmerman for either a civil rights violation or a hate crime, Arnwine said. “They said they would very aggressively investigate this case.”

Arnwine said the call was convened at about 3:30 p.m. by Tom Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice, and included representatives from the FBI, and several federal prosecutors, she said. DOJ officials also said they would open a public email address so people could send in tips on the case.

Does anybody else find this appalling?

Yeah, that's just the subjective nature of socialism, undermining the means of government to serve justice. The typical result is civil war…

But I wouldn't worry about it, it's part and parcel of what one get's when one hopes for change, without considering what that means and as a result fails to adequately vet the corrupt, moral reprobates that tout it.

In your opinion it may seem like an injustice--it may appear appalling.... In my opinion, Zimmerman got away with murder and THAT is an injustice and is appalling.....f###ing appalling.......

No, Juanita....that's not the way the galleta crumbles

A jury declared Z not guilty.

The state could not prove hatred/evil intent nor disprove Z's self-defense claim

Keep trying though

So what you are admitting as you refuse to believe facts as presented in a court of law, as well as how the legal system works. Thanks.
