George Zimmerman's Acquittal: Four Blunt Observations - Businessweek

. Zimmerman was at fault for killing Trayvon Martin.
Ignore the pious post-verdict declarations by Zimmerman’s (skilled) defense lawyers. The police dispatcher told Zimmerman to stay in his car. If the wannabe cop had followed reasonable instructions and/or had decent training as a neighborhood watchman, he would have remained in his vehicle. Zimmerman deserves heavy blame.

Please tell me where the police dispatcher told Zimmerman to "stay in his car"?

The reporting on this case is borderline criminal. They haven't gotten a thing right yet.

I've said from the get-go. I don't think Zimmerman is any kind of vigilante hero. Far from it. It's just the he wasn't guilty given the law involved.

But it's been downright despicable how the lw media has tried to craft the narrative of him being a guy who just couldn't wait to shoot and kill a black kid.

The comment I left on that page.

Blunt observation #1- The author of the above article demonstrates his lack of ability to read and listen. NEN Operator "are you following him?" (the reason the NEN operator asks this is because there is now audible wind noise. Psssss Mr. Barret, that means GZ is already out of his car. GZ reply "yes" NEN operator (read this closely Mr Barret) "ok we don't need you to do that" (why are you Mr. Barret, falsely claiming the police dispatcher told Zimmerman to *stay in his car*? btw, not to be retentive but it was a truck/suv) To which GZ replies "ok". Here's a blunt observation, he's already out of his vehicle, using facts of the case only, prove he did not comply with said NEN operator's instruction. If not, realizing your first "blunt observation" is a completely false narrative, no one needs to read further.

LOL mine was one of the more "tame" replies!! (-;

Mark O'Mara said it best in his press conference with the media. They took a story that was fed to them and they just ran right over George. The goal was to demonize, dehumanize and ruin the life of this man. And they succeeded.

And now there are mobs gathering in the streets in cities across this country enraged. These people belive EVERYTHING they're told to believe.

Zimmerman should sue everyone in sight, then find a quiet place somewhere in the world and live out his days.

There ought to be a law against race baiting.

What's most troubling is that these other outlets, and their constituents, aren't about to admit that Fox News covered this properly. They got it right.

That probably bothers some more than the case itself.

And I'm no great lover of Fox News.

Well, heck. I guess if we just start ignoring the findings of courts and trials I guess we can just disband them and go for the lynch mob way.

Whether y'all recognise it or not, whether you feel it's justified or not, you cannot wish away the feeling that many have that a crime has gone unpunished, and gone unpunished because the victim was a young, black kid.

I can't really see how the jury could have found otherwise than how they did given the evidence presented by the prosecution, but I don't believe that justice has been done, and neither do a lot of people.

This is a good summation....

Your comments and this column, by an author who consistently makes false statements, are the reason many people, who are sick and tired of the "race baiters" , are seeking to remove themselves from the nonsense. It's why we will continue to see people move away from cities. It's why over 600 people have died in Chicago alone mainly from black on black violence, and no one speaks a word. No one holds a march, no one is "seeking justice".

It's not only asinine and inane to make such a disgusting absurd statement "open season on black boys" as the title of this "story", it serves only to add fuel to the fire.

There are some reasoned voices out there like Lupe Fiasco, and the "Common Sense" guy. They get shouted down and called names by the same "race baiters" who made this case something it's not.

When the prevailing mindset, damn the facts and the law, a "non black" shot a black so they're a racist, is fostered, we're heading in the wrong direction.

It's my personal opinion, that's precisely the course many seek.

The problem is that there appear to be highly relevant facts which got discounted, as the article pointed out, although I thought I made it clear that I disagree with much of it and thought the jury delivered the only verdict it could have done. If you define that as 'race baiting' then so be it.

Because we don't always have to read opinions that we agree with?

When the title is so rediculous, what do you think the rest of the article will be?

You are correct. martins history should have been let in to show the jury what road he was on and that he was pro-fighting. They did come to the correct decisión even without that.

Just keep repeating to yourself "the problem is that there appear to be highly relevant facts which got discounted" so you'll feel better.

No, Sir/Madam, the "highly relevant facts" were examined. They were examined the night of the incident. They were examined after the incident by the lead detective. They were examined by the FBI in their study, They were examined in a court of law. Just how many times do you want the "relevant facts" examined? Do you keep repeating this monk like mantra because you think those "highly relevant facts" were examined 20 or 20,000 times they'd change?

Martin was not on trial. Oh wait... yes he was, wasn't he?

Zimmerman juror B #37 the animal rescuer whose husband is an attorney, has signed on to write book.

Sincé Martin caused this incident, his previous actions were important.

It is easier to believe a 17 year old that has a history of fighting and other things will chose to fight instead of simply going home, especially when he thinks he can beat the crap out of somebody that is smaller, albiet fatter, than he was.

"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."

Martin didn't cause the incident.. George did.. and I am not quite sure I would have lead George to my house.

The emotions of The Mob

Why would Zimmerman call 911 if his intent was to just profile, shoot and kill Trayvon Martin for being black?

Martin didn't cause the incident.. George did.. and I am not quite sure I would have lead George to my house.

If Martin wouldn't have attacked Zimmerman and started bashing his head into the pavement, he'd still be alive today.
