What lessons are learned in the Zimmerman case?

This idea of the police deciding innocence and guilt on the spot is not only un-American, it's part of a recipe for a national disaster...................

Where did that happen?

A 17 year old unarmed kid was killed by an armed adult, and you really think there is no need for a trial? Comon man.

Shouldn't a grand jury have decided that?

I invite everyone, yes everyone, to pause for a moment, read and reread this statement.

Bonzai, I'm not picking on you. I just don't believe you thought this out before you typed it. I hope that's the case.

"this idea of the police" If not the police then whom? Are we really saying ALL police are corrupt? Talk about national disaster!

"deciding innocence and guilt on the spot" When did this happen? They did an investigation that night. Then the did a much more exhaustive investigation after the night.

"is not only un-America" No, Sir/Madam, it's the law. It's the foundation of our Nation.

"it's part of a recipe for a national disaster" Yikes! Are you truly advocating for "justice" in the manner this case was handled? No evidence for charges by police. No evidence for charges after the lead detective wraps up his investigation. It's only some 44 days later, following "race baiters" inciting hatred so they can remain in power, a special prosecutor, who bypasses a grand jury, which is what should have been done, that charges are filed?

What is "un-American" *and* "part of a recipe for a national disaster" is the exact manner in which this case was handled. It was a blatant attempt, even going so far as to coin a brand new phrase "white-hispanic" in order to pursue a modern day "lynching". Talk about disaster.

Don't you find it odd that the people that fought so hard to not get justice outside a courtroom, aka lynching, now want that for people of other races?

Are you saying that because the suspect was 17 years old there could never be a justified shooting where he was invloved?

Um, no. I am saying the fact the dead person is unarmed is one indicator it might not have been justified. The fact the dead person is a kid is another indication it might be somehthing worth looking into, you know, a little bit.

Why are continuing with the unarmed stuff. Zimmerman was unarmed until he pulled out the gun. Martin had his hands and fists plus the concrete.

Martin was not a kid by any means. He was a strong 17 year old that had no problem with fighting.

Again I will ask, shouldn't the case have gone to the grand jury first before filing these charges?

Would you have accepted their decisión to not file charges if that is what they decided, or because the suspect was 17, there just has to be a trial with or without evidence?

Really, you are unarmed while your weapon is in your holster in your pants?

I am not sure how I got into the filing charges part of the discussion. I think unless there was some evidence TM was the aggressor or was armed or something, it should have gone to the grand jury, or trial or something. As you can see there was dang little evidence either way. I am not arguing with the courts decision, I am just discussing what I see. I dont see a slam dunk, no reason to file charges case now after the trial, so I dont believe the Sanford police could make that decision.

The biggest lesson, is even if you legally use your gun in the manner it is designed for the left in this country will try to ruin your life because your views don’t match their views.

Exercising your rights becomes stalking.

Protecting yourself becomes hunting.

Cooperating with law enforcement means you are liar.

You seem to think this was about politics...

Then why not go to a grand hurry for a inditment.

Which is why I always say, once you clear leather. Your life will change forever and it may not be in good way. No matter how right you are.

Judging from the social media universe, I've come to the conclusion that black athlete/celebrity + Twitter = endless idiotic statements.

In the way of life lessons, I didn't learn a damn thing.

What I enjoyed most about the trial was trolling the **** out of Thunder. I didn't participate much until that faggot arrived, and I didn't participate much after he was banned (the second time) until the trial began. I wish he was still around for the verdict.

I would like to thank the mod team for turning a blind eye to all the excessive trolling by nearly everyone who posted in the Z/M forum.

my sentiments exactly.

Because its not a potential death penalty case.

I was under the impression that in the state of Floridia it is standard procedure to use grand jurry inditments for murder 2 cases.

never punch a guy in the face for asking you a question

What lessons are learned in the Zimmerman case?

No matter how guilty we think someone might be, do not bring a case to trial utterly lacking in inculpatory evidence of any kind. Suspicion is simply too weak a case, and wastes tax payer money.

Nope. And I dont know if it would it make any difference. The states case was weak.

#4 -- When the full weight and power of "the state" is after you, you're screwed whether your innocent or guilty.

Maggie: #4 hits the nail on the head. Especially when racially motivated groups pressure the state to make a case where a case does not exist.

I have learned that when MSNBC and CNN agree on something... it is most likely very wrong.

Speaking of that. I live in a fairly wealthy white neighborhood. To be quite honest with you I dont even lock my doors at home. but if I was walking around the neighborhood to the conviecne mart and some goof ball stopped me and asked me what I was doing, the way I would respond would be directly related to how polite he was.
You and your common sense. Pffft, hood rules are different.
Whitey gives you the sideways eyeball, pimp slap dat beotch.
