Civil suit on Monday by the Martin family...UNLESS finding self-defense negates a civil trial...not sure about this actually.

he will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life i wonder if they can give him witness protection

After hearing the yelling on the 911 call there's no way that anyone who believed it was Zimmerman could convict him.

I hope Trayvon's family will sue the heck out of his killer. He may have been found not guilty due to Florida law, but this does not negate the fact that it is due to the choices and actions of Zimmerman that a young man has died and he will still have to pay for his actions.

The state or feds should put him in the witness protection program because of the Media bias and attention.

Based on the evidence presented, the case made by the defense, and the poor case made by the prosecution...this was the right verdict imho.

I think the Prosecutions over reach focusing on Murder 2, and putting together such a horrible case of proving it beyond a reasonable doubt and inability to counter the plausibility of self defense, was what LOST this case more than the defense WINNING it.

I don't think with an acquittal on self defense it'll fly very far.

I believe I heard something that florida law precludes a civil suit, but I'm not positive about that.

However, I am still extremely disappointed with America.

There never shoulda been the trial. THAT was a travesty of Justice.

More evidence that something is wrong with Florida law. Last week I saw a documentary (or some show about trials) in which a man who was in jail for more than 2 decades cannot receive compensation because he had a drugs charge in his past. The man was found guilty of a murder he did not commit and rotted away in jail innocently cannot get compensated because of a totally non-related offense.

Props to the jury for basing their decision on the law and evidence. The criminal justice system can be very flawed but this time, I think the system worked.

Sorry, but I oppose tax dollars being spent to protect an idiot who can't follow directions of authorities en-route.

If he wants protection, let the unemployed moron pay for it himself.
